- As a developer, I worked on business data from the SQL Server to extract it and make it connected so that the dashboard refreshes in the Power BI Report Server when there is some data appended to the SQL database.
- Worked on the application of the index, conditional columns, calculated columns, grouping and aggregating, and merging and appending queries.
- I have done data modeling with imported tables, creating table relationships with primary key and foreign key values, using star and snowflake schemas, maintained relationship cardinality with filter flow within tables, and created hierarchies in table data (date, continent).
- Created calculated columns with DAX queries, created explicit measures by DAX, and kept all the measures in a separate table in order to make it easy for dashboard visuals. I have used DAX syntax and operators with common DAX functions (math and statistics, count, conditional and logical functions, Switch, date and time, calculate, all, filter, iterators, and time intelligence patterns).
- Visualized data with reports by adding report pages and objects. I have built and formatted various charts (line charts with trend lines and forecasts, KPI cards to see the performance with target value, bar and donut charts, filtering options, table and matrix visuals, conditional formatting, maps, slicers, gauge charts, and drill-through pages for individual value-specific details).
- I have worked on Report Interactions, adding a bookmark to perform some actions in the dashboard (reset, back), and added custom navigation buttons to navigate between pages. I also worked on importing custom visuals from Excel Pivot and know how to manage and view roles in dashboards. With that, I have published dashboard reports to the Power BI report server, managing access for users.

- I have experience in SQL, as I have done development work on the ASP.NET backend. In this project, I have migrated all data tables to SQL Server from the MS Access database that was discontinued. I worked on sanitizing the data, creating tables with data types, and inserting all values, applying primary key constraints and join operations needed in the tables.
- Created stored procedures for various actions that are performed and called by .NET code, developed the database on the dev server, and then deployed it in UAT and production servers as well. Created AD groups and objects for the connection string, and provided sys-admin access for CRUD operations, and read-only access for Business.
- Utilized join and subqueries to simplify complex queries involving multiple tables while optimizing procedures and triggers in production. Wrote multiple SQL queries to obtain data from multiple tables to spool into CSV and Excel format. I have provided the extracts to the business and users.
- Performed database defragmentation while optimizing the entire SQL queries, improving database performance and loading speed by 70%.
- Created a task scheduler that takes backups and saves files on the server on the weekend. Created a document for the database disaster recovery plan.
