Key Achievements:

Airline Migrations:

• Successfully conducted a drain-down migration strategy rather than a knife-edge cutover for the $11 billion AA-US airline merger, without disrupting the business.
• Successfully developed a multi-carrier partition migration approach worth $5 billion for LATAM airline migrations.

Database Migration/Redesign:

• Reduced the footprint of the mainframe ticketing database and freed up storage (DASD) for upcoming projects and growth, preventing a mainframe DASD expansion that would have cost $11 million.
• Improve the system's performance by redesigning the database, reducing unnecessary I/O access, and reducing the HOLD counts.

Modernization:

• Establishing HTTP connectivity between mainframe systems and GCP Cloud to sync data between mainframe and open systems.

Responsibility includes:

• Maintaining the overall health of the product and implementing key features like Interline Ticketing, Document Number Dispensing, Dynamic Currency Conversion, Customer Service Authorization, ticket field expansion for Interline and Reverse Host, and presenting a credit card in the TPF mainframe.
