Project Overview:

The project was focused on building a Bonds Trading Application, where a team of developers, testers, product managers, and business analysts collaborated to design and implement a web-based platform for buying, selling, and tracking bonds in real-time.

As a .NET Developer working in an Agile Environment, your responsibilities would have spanned across both frontend and backend development, with a focus on agile methodologies and collaborative teamwork to deliver high-quality and scalable software.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø .NET Development:

• Backend API Development: Led the design and development of RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core to provide essential trading functionalities, such as real-time bond pricing, executing buy/sell orders, and retrieving transaction histories.
• Microservices Architecture: Employed a microservices architecture for scalability, developing individual services for bond price calculations, risk assessment, order management, and trade settlements. Each service could scale independently depending on system load.
• Real-Time Data Handling: Integrated SignalR/WebSockets for real-time updates in bond prices and transaction activities, allowing users to track bond prices and execute trades without page reloads.
• Database Design & Integration: Designed and optimized SQL Server databases to store trading history, user accounts, bond details, and financial transactions. Implemented entity relationships, stored procedures, and database indexing for performance optimization.
• Security and Authentication: Implemented JWT token-based authentication and role-based authorization for secure access to the platform, ensuring that sensitive data was protected and that users could access only their authorized features.

Ø Frontend Development (React):

• UI/UX Collaboration: Worked closely with the UI/UX designers to implement an intuitive and responsive frontend using React.js, allowing users to view bond prices, place orders, and monitor their portfolios in real-time.
• Component Design: Developed reusable React components for trading dashboards, bond market views, account settings, and transaction history. Focused on ensuring components were modular and maintainable for long-term development.
• State Management with Redux: Utilized Redux for managing the global state of the application, including user authentication, live bond prices, and active trades. Ensured that state updates were efficient and data consistency was maintained across the app.

Ø Team Handling and Agile Management:

• Agile Sprint Management: Led the team through bi-weekly sprints, ensuring tasks were well-defined and aligned with business goals. Collaborated with the Scrum Master to facilitate sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming sessions.
• Task Assignment & Prioritization: Assigned development tasks based on team member skillsets and project requirements. Ensured that features, bug fixes, and improvements were prioritized based on user stories and business needs.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Worked closely with business analysts, QA engineers, and UI/UX designers to ensure that user stories were well-understood and that the implementation met all requirements for the bonds trading platform.

Settlement Plus Application is designed to help Provider’s Incentives and capitation calculation monthly, quarterly and yearly for Medical and Pharmacy claims.

CheapOair was the first online travel agency to sell ancillary products for US Airways and American Airlines.
