- SHAI (Star Health and Allied Insurance) is designed to streamline the process of punching in new policies. The system focuses on capturing essential details such as insurance products, proposer information, and the insurer's sum insured, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in policy issuance.
- Based on the frontend request, once the payment is confirmed through the Star Pay API, the BaNCS third-party API is used to create a unique party code (Customer ID).
- Using this party code along with the necessary payment inputs, the system generates the receipt number.
- Product details, proposer information, insurer details, and the necessary PED documents are used to generate the policy proposal number.
- The proposal number is used to call the BaNCS third-party APIs, which generate the issued quote and finalize the policy issuance.
