Work History

Postdoc

Technical University of Denmark
Lyngby
07.2021 - 10.2023
  • During my postdoc, I have the privilege of working on an exciting research project titled "Investigating the Dehydrogenation of Formic Acid to H2 in Ionic Liquid using a Pincer Complex of First Row Transition Metal." This project (funded by Carlsberg Foundation) aimed to develop a green, sustainable and efficient method to produce hydrogen gas (H2) by utilizing formic acid as a hydrogen carrier
  • I worked in the group of Associate Professor Martin Nielsen, a renowned expert in the field of renewable energy and catalysis.
  • The key focus was on exploring the potential of low cost Manganese catalyst for hydrogen production from formic acid without any hazardous additives at moderate temperature.

Postdoc

IACS, Kolkata
Kolkata
02.2020 - 11.2020
  • Research in the field of applied inorganic chemistry: Application of organometallic compounds in electronic memory devices collaborating with National University of Singapore and Texas A&M University.
  • Project Supervisor: Professor Sreebrata Goswami

Ph.D.

IACS, Kolkata
Kolkata
01.2015 - 02.2020
  • Project Undertaken during Ph.D.: "Ligand Center Redox Events in Transition Metal Complexes and Their Application in Catalysis"
  • Project Supervisor: Professor Sreebrata Goswami
  • The work was primarily divided into two areas of application: (i) · Chemical catalysis by redox-active molecules (azo aromatics) to create valuable chemicals, (ii) · Molecular memristors or molecular semiconductors.
  • I developed low cost transition metal energy storage molecules suitable in chemical catalysis and organic neuromorphic device.
  • synthesis of nitrogen based organic molecules/metal organic catalyst
