The distribution chain of 700+ branches and channel partners across Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh converged into a revenue line of 100+ crores. Product propositions include outward and inward remittances, forex cards and structured customer propositions within the retail segment, while trade includes EXIM linked cross border transfers, LC/Bill negotiations, discounting, Bank guarantees, Buyers credit etc. Omni-channel distribution included bank branches, partners, and digital journeys.
Managed regional business in Dubai for cross-border payments, leading a large team, and managing P&L across retail stores of the brand. Apart from team leading and the delivery of revenue budgets, the role included implementing the Omni-Channel strategy envisaged by the group across all stores and customer segments. Walking through the digital transformation road for cross-border payments was a key project.
I was assigned the southern part of India to rebuild and increase market share of cross-border payments and prepaid forex cards across five states, i.e. Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra, and Telengana.
Channels included the bank's distribution network, corporate clients, and partners. Led the region to be the highest revenue contributor within the bank.
Was asked to move back to the eastern part of India for rebuilding lost share within cross-border payments and prepaid forex cards, leading a team of business managers. States included West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim, and also Port Blair.

While the 2009 journey involved managing prepaid cards, credit cards, and the merchant acquiring business, in 2010, the bank set up a vertical team for the buildup of the retail forex business through all branches. Played an instrumental part in not only shaping the transaction journeys across all branches, but also in the bank's becoming a market leader.
