After Joining ENIL-Radio Mirchi in April'03, was handed over a assignment which related to consumption Tax refund of Rs. 20 odd lacs from the West Bengal Sales Tax Department for the Consumption Tax paid by error almost a year ago, this was taken up by me as a challenge as it was a daunting task to get refund from WBST department for such a large amount, but with sheer perseverance & must do attitude after a year long battle with the department, I was successful in getting the refund of Rs. 20.54 lacs for the organization in May'04, this helped me in understanding the department very well and the way it works and also gave me lot of confidence in handling the government departments especially the Sales Tax department, and ensuring the refund which was already written off in books.
Have handled complex scenarios over last 26 years where there were multiple changes of management and the company went through a see-saw in business performance however with perseverance, grit and determination managed to tide through all the stages and ensured the company is stable from systems point of view ,ensured the books are in place for any future eventuality in terms of investments/divestment's etc.
