Maintenance of following equipment’s

• Diesel Engines- SL 90 Series- 6 Cylinder, vertical in line, water cooled, compression ignition, Turbo charged.

eg. -172 HP Leyland make 231 HP,  Kirloskar make 355 HP,  CAT make 476 HP,  Kirloskar make 310 HP,  Kirloskar make 510HP- Kirloskar DV series .

• Top Overhauling of breakdown engine – Dismantling- Starting with battery connection fuel line from feed pump wiring from starter alternator removing radiator pressure cap and drain out water/ coolant disconnecting rubber hoses on air cooler inlet and outlet pipe removing rubber hoses connecting air cleaner to turbo charger remove fan belt alternator belt disconnect lube oil inlet pipe to turbo charger disconnect turbo charger from exhaust manifold remove venting pipe arrangement from cylinder head, disconnect fuel return pipe from fuel inlet pipe on feed pump remove fuel filter alternator high pressure pipe on injectors remove injector rocker covers cylinder head remove air pipe between charge air cooler and air inlet manifold remove rocker oil supply line rockers assemblies from cylinders head remove push rods loosen cylinders head bolts punch cylinders head numbers on each head according to cylinders remove cylinders, remove lubricating spin-on oil filter, remove oil sump loosen connecting rod cap bolts, remove connecting rod rotate the crankshafts to a convenient position push the piston and connecting rod assembly out from the top of cylinder liner remove piston rings from piston, Cleaning and inspection of parts- Cleaning with diesel thoroughly remove carbon deposits on piston crown, piston ring after cleaning check for damage inspect connect rod assembly, inspect cylinder liner condition clean cylinder heads check valves check inlet and exhaust ports in the head check clearance between valves guides inspect push rods check turbo charger for axial and radial play inspect air inlet manifold decarbonize exhaust manifold and inspect replace damaged parts. Assembly All joints gaskets, o-ring and copper washers should be replaced assemble all parts.
• Major overhaul – Disconnect engine from driven unit remove fan driving arrangement remove water pump assembly dismantle crank pulley, oil filter header from crank case, oil cooler assembly remove flywheel housing, fuel pump, breather, gear casing assembly, thermostat, intermediate gear hub dismantle lubricating pump assembly, crankshaft, crank case.

Cleaning and Inspection Engine assembly.

• Trouble shooting of issues in engine eg- mixing of diesel with lube oil, engine speed does not remain constant, engine not taking load, engine overheating, engine give black smoke, excessive smoke at full load, excess blow bye, high lube oil consumption
