Projects Handled:

ACE to AF migration:

Business Impact: Frequent downtime with the ACE calculations causing huge loss of data which is fed to highly critical applications like EC, Seeq etc., whose recovery is tough.

Actions Taken:

• Cutover around ~10k business critical calculations and transition the project to the extended team by imparting knowledge sessions for sustainment.
• Interpret the ACE logic from the VBA code, convert it into actionable data and migrate it to PI AF.
• Effective handling of High frequency calculations by following Structured Implementation.
• Reduced downtime of calculations and the volume of incidents associated to it by 90%.
• Achieved high visibility and reliability of the system by following the best practices of PI AF.

Contributions to other projects:

Creation of multiple PItoPI interfaces:

• Improved the efficiency of the interfaces by creating new instances to bring down the tag load.

PI Vision Installation:

• Installed two PI Vision servers and setup a Network Load Balancer(NLB) to reduce the load on the servers.

OPC UA Implementation for DA / HDA and A&E:

• Collaborate with the corresponding Business contact and OPC team for requirement gathering and make a Proof of Concept(POC) to send Alarms and Events Data using OPC UA wrapper.
• Roll out the Implementation plan to use the OPC UA wrapper to send Alarm and Events Data to PI server.

Azure File Share:

• Make a Proof of Concept(POC) to test the Azure File Share feature by moving a few sample files from On-prem server to Azure cloud.
• Collaborate with the Azure team to gather the requirements and work on them.
• Roll out the implementation plan to use the Cloud as the extended storage of the On-prem servers.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Implement new Client requests and support the existing landscape end to end with sustainment activities like issue resolutions, process improvement etc.,
• Managing and monitoring day-to-day operations of the team including daily productivity, quality, SLAs, resource planning and reporting.
• Developing strong relationships with internal and external business team and compliance team stakeholders to lead escalations through to resolution.

Netherlands based Oil & Gas Giant:

• Handled OSIsoft PI Administration activities.
• Implemented new interfaces creation between the OPC and the destination PI Servers.
• Implemented various requests like Access request to PI data, Creation of PI Trust, Mappings etc.
• Worked on the creation and modification of PI points, manual data upload in archive, PI server backup and tuning parameters.
  Analysis of errors in the configuration of PI OPC DA, HDA and PI to PI interfaces using PI SDK.
• Worked on alerts configuration for PI Collectives.
• Worked on PI OPC DA, HDA, UFL, PI to PI Interfaces and PI System Connectors.
• Resolution of Client issues with PI tools while interacting with them on a daily basis.
• Proactive Monitoring by performing health checks of multiple PI servers to address any data issues.
• Handled Collective data issues and service requests of PI point configuration issues, performance equations
  analysis, event frames.
• Backfilled the missing/historical data as per business requirements.
• Configured buffering/ interface Failover & OPC server failover and resolved issues related to the same.

• Deployed critical updates in stringent timelines to comply with the ticket SLA's.
