Working with leading Investment Bank for effective confirmation and settlement of trades in Fixed Income Derivative (FID) i.e. IRS (Interest rate swap) and CDS (Credit default swap). There is continuous exchange of mail. Working on trade confirmation document, Resolution of discrepancies whenever there is discrepancy in cash flows by providing calculation and supportive evidence. Liaising with Middle office and Front office for the correct booking of trade.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely confirmation and settlement of derivative cash flows (IRS & CDS)
• Responsible to settle cash flows before their respective deadlines & guiding team of 8 people in their work derivative settlement.
• Having Knowledge of Swaps Wire and DTCC Applications.
• Settled cash flows through DTCC as well as outside DTCC.
• Ensure timely confirmation and settlement of Foreign Exchange
• Well versed with MT103, MT202, MT300, MT199, MT299
• Successfully handled queries with respective counterparties on various kinds of discrepancies.
• Maintaining daily back up of processed trades.
• Successfully handled quarterly derivative settlements rolls.
• Preparing daily reports escalating Critical and high priority issue.
• Providing training to the new joiners to improve their efficiency in understanding of process.

Cash & Bank Account Reconciliation:

• Applying received/unapplied funds from suspense account to correct booking.
• Transferring funds to correct account for funds received on incorrect account
• Returning back funds via manual wire to the requested SSI’s.
• Taking relevant officer level approval to hold suspense funds which are hitting firm-wide suspense policy threshold.
• Locating funds with the help of client provided swift messages or payment references.
• Reaching out to relevant client account representative to clear unapplied suspense funds before it hit firm-wide suspense policy threshold.
• Reaching out to Agent Bank to confirm receipt of the funds - Providing more details/Swift message of outgoing funds to the client.
