Aditya Aluminium is a smelter-power plant complex at Lapanga in Sambalpur district of Orissa with 360,000 tonnes smelter supported by 6 x 150 MW coal based captive power. It employs AP 36 technology supplied by Aluminium Pechiney.

Responsible for Maintenance of

• 220 Kv Switchyard with 6 nos 200 MVA GeneratorTransformers, 4 Nos 40 MVA Station Transformers of M/s CGL Make, MV Switchgears of M/s Schneider Electric and LV Switchgears of M/s L&T Make.
• 6 Nos 187.5 MVA 15.75KV Air Cooled Generator and its Auxiliaries including IPBD and Brushless Excitation of M/s BHEL Make,Ensuring un-interrupted Power supply to Aluminium Smelter.
• Hands on Experience on Erection,Testing and commissioning of Power transformer upto 200 MVA and 2.5 MVA Dry type transformer, 6.6 Kv VCB Panels,LT switchgear of 4000 Amp rating, Fast Bus Transfer System,HT motors upto 4900 kw.
• Deep Knowledge in Relay co-ordination, Protection, Testing and commissioning, maintenance of Turbo generator (187.5 MVA) along with Configuration and setting of MICOM Numerical relays like MICOM P343, Micom 632,633,241,243,141,111.
• Erection, Testing, Commissioning, maintenance of Black start DG of Rating 7X3MVA, Make-Kohler and Its synchronization with 6.6Kv bus.
• Erection Testing and commissioning, Maintenance of 1000KW ID Fan VFD, Make-ABB, Type-ACS800.
• Major involvement in replacing Conventional Pb-Acid Battery with Ultra Capacitor,New DC reliability System Implementation by installing SMPS based Battery Charger with associated DCDBs,Implementation of Station to Station Fast Bus Transfer Scheme.
• Very much conversant in troubleshooting by reading schematic drawing, grid synchronizing system, Numerical generator protection, motor protection, Transformer Protection and feeder protection, CILMS System, Blackout restoration, stable operation of Pots for Smelter.
• Prepared technical documentation for operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial systems.
• Proposed electrical product and system modifications to improve quality and efficiency.
• Inspected completed installations to observe operations and verify conformance to design and equipment specifications.
• Implemented cutting-edge processes and safety practices to reduce electrical construction hazards.
• Performed maintenance procedures and repairs on existing electrical products and systems.
• Evaluated installed electrical equipment and systems to isolate faults and implement corrective actions.

• Managed plant operation along with preventive and breakdown maintenance of 260MW Power Plant and its electrical system.
• Conducted Major overhauling and complete testing of 22.5MVA generator (TDPS Make).
• Erection and successful commissioning of 18MW WHRB and 100MW Thermal Power Plant
• Operation and complete maintenance of battery and battery charger.
• Control panel wiring of Cummins DG set, HT panel & Synchronizing Panel. LT Panel (PCC and MCC) control wiring, APFC Panel (EPCOS make controller) and its troubleshooting.
• Overhauling & complete testing of power transformer of rating 31.5MVA.60/75 MVA and 125MVA and its OLTC.
• Complete Retrofitting of Kirloskar Make HT Panel with ABB make.
• Managed 132kv switchyard having 2 bays Hotline maintenance job carried out by M/s Vajranarayan, Vizag.
• Carried out Erection and Commissioning of ESP (M/s S&E Make) with Powercon Controller.
• Pivotal in energy saving by implementing HT and LT VFDs for motors and LEDs for lighting system.
• Sound knowledge of Operation and maintenance of Brushless Excitation System (both Static and PMG System) with AVR (Unitrol 1000, ABB Make), Areva HT Panel (VCP and VCB 6.6Kv) and Areva MICOM series Numerical relay. (P343, P122, P127, P121, P631), ABB HT Panels and ABB Numerical Relays (SPAM, SPAJ140C).

BORL has six million tonnes per annum (6.0 MMTPA) grassroots petroleum refinery producing environmentally compliant fuels of BS-IV grade with 100 MW CPP (BHEL, Make) which is a Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion (CFBC) type Boiler (275 TPH) based power plant generating power through steam turbine (STG) using pet coke.

• Supervising erection and commissioning of 100 MW BHEL Make Static Excitation Generator.
• Responsible for maintenance of 132Kv switchyard with 2 nos 25 MVA Transformers.
• Conducting testing and troubleshooting of 132Kv and 6.6kv SF6 HT Breakers.
• Carrying out maintenance and troubleshooting of LT Breakers, 6.6Kv HT Panels, MCC and PCC.
• Working on deputation in COT, Vadinar as Assistant Manager (E & I).
• Sound knowledge of Automatic Fire Controller System, Tank Farm Management System, Public Announcement System
• In-depth knowledge of impressed current type Cathodic Protection (Raychem Make).
• Successfully modified logic of fire water logic and configured in PLC.

Vikram Cement has a Production Capacity of 4MTPA with 50MW Captive Thermal Power Plant.

Responsible for

• Shift operation assigned along with preventive / breakdown maintenance.
• Erection and commissioning of 50 MW STG Turbine & Brush less Excitation generator and its Auxiliaries with CMEC Make Shandong Jinan Power Co.Ltd. CHINA and 132 kv Switchyard
• Installation, testing and commissioning of 2x35 MVA generator transformer.
• Maintenance of L & T make CN-CS series Air Circuit breakers (800A, 1250A, 3000A) and Siemens make ACB up to 3200A.
• Protection and metering scheme for H.T. and L.T. feeders for motor, transformer and capacitor.
• Erection and commissioning of SIR system (M/s Alstom Make) for ESP 1st time in India in Vikram Cement.
• Overhauled, replaced and completed maintenance of 11KV motors up to 570 KW and DC motor up to 10Kw.
• Oversaw operation & maintenance of 132KV / 6.6KV power Transformer up to 32MVA, along with Easun Make OLTC and distribution transformer up to 2.5MVA
• Hands on Experience of Maintenance and Troubleshooting of Slip ring Motors upto 2700 Kw of 6.6Kv Rating along with Various Starting methods like LRS and GRR
• Successfully implemented hardwire logic for load shedding scheme and synchronization.
• Well versed with operation, power and control wiring of HT Panels (GEC, Kirloskar and ABB Make) for motor, capacitor, transformer feeders.
