Drilling Rig Experience

  • For the past one month gaining experience by working in Drilling rig E-1400 Series, engines: CAT 3512B: 1251HP: 4 NOS, Draw works: BHEL, 1400HP, Drilling capacity: 4900 m with 4 ½” Drill pipes, Mud capacity: 240 Cu M.
  • This one-month experience gave immense confidence to lead as a Drilling Supervisor.
  • Eager to work in Drilling Rig if given opportunity.

Rig Manager of Workover Rig

  • Worked as IM-SKP-100-01 WOR for three years & now for the past one year working as IM-AHWR-150-01 WOR. It is a departmental workover rig with mixed crew i.e both ONGC crew and O&M (Global). Dealing with 47 crew members.
  • AHWR-150-01 Automatic Hydraulic work over rig is for testing objects in exploratory wells.
  • Well planning, carried out route survey with Logistics, maintenance team, civil person, placing civil indent of next site & coordinating for timely civil works completion.
  • Handled many workover jobs of zone transfer, Acid job, cement repair jobs, SRP, exploratory objects testing etc.
  • As a Rig in-charge completed 35 wells in which 5 are exploratory wells.
  • Managed and directed the daily activities of the rig crew in accordance with the ONGC goals & expectations.
  • Coordinated rig moves with client and transportation personnel.
  • Conducted pre-tour meetings with rig crews.
  • Ensured that the permit to work system and other HSE management tools are used correctly.
  • Developed and maintained good working relationships with crews, subcontractors and other personnel on the rig; and
  • Participated in preventative and regulatory safety inspections and meetings as per the company's Target Zero Rules and Key Beliefs.
  • Rigless job: RO#61 Well in Agartala was flowing gas with FTHP of 110 Kg/cm2 and surface team observed leakage from bonnet of Annulus valve. Took the lead in MDT meeting to C/O Rig less job. Coordinated with all sections to C/O civil work necessary for the job, arranged security, mobilized tanker, choke manifold, cementing unit, Fire Fighting unit, took safety precautions by anchoring waste pit line and vertical line. Subdued the well with Tech water, after observing for 1 hr with no surface activity, opened annulus valve and installed VR plug. Replaced damaged valve and tested it up to rated working pressure and activated well with nitrogen application and handed well to surface team.

  • Completed Zone transfer, open end completion, hydraulic packer completion, Permanent packer completion in HPHT wells of ONGC Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India.
  • Handled 5M, 10M,15M BOP for Workover operations and Well completion and testing.
  • Experienced with well depths up to TVD 20000 FT & Mud Weight up to 20 ppg & have handled H2S environment.
  • Proven Ability to handle Well control events. Strong knowledge of safety and environmental standards. Have excellent leadership, communication skills & take crucial decisions under pressure.
  • Completed 03 gas lift, 05 SRP, 02 plunger lift wells at ONGC Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India.
  • Cement drilling, milling of B/plug, permanent packer, retrieving hydraulic packer, setting hydraulic packer done under my supervision.
  • Coordinated with maintenance team, logging, cementing, and logistics team to meet workover operational requirements and reduced shut down to almost nil.
  • Expert in Rig dismantling, inter location movement and rig building. Reduced time for ILM by planning, coordination and monitoring.
  • Prepare Well completion & Workover reports.
  • Carried out many fishing operations using die collar, male tape, overshot etc in work over Rig. Retrieved 5 ½” casing also.
  • As a company man handled 37 O&M crew of Assam petroleum, NED.
  • Monitored & carried out all workover operations under my supervision.
  • Maintained all records, DPR, materials management, coordinated DGMS & OISD Audits & compliance done at Rig.
  • 10 safety rules of ONGC were strongly implemented, important drills like BOP, Fire, medical, snake, electrical. Etc. implemented which enhanced awareness among crew members.
  • Overall Managerial & leadership skills increased during my working as Company man at HH150-01 Workover rig.
