Gathering and analyzing various non-functional requirements
Facilitating frequent client interactions to review requirements and project progress
Developing comprehensive performance test plans outlining scope, approach, resources, schedule, and tools
Defining performance acceptance criteria and success metrics
Designing realistic test scenarios and capturing traffic using JMeter/LoadRunner
Customizing scripts with transaction names, parameterization, correlation, think times, checkpoints/assertions, and error handling
Defining test scenario and workload models, including run logic, load, ramp up, test duration, pacing, and transactions per second (TPS)
Configuring load generators and test execution settings
Execute tests in JMeter non-GUI mode and HP Performance Center in Load Runner
Conduct various types of concurrent user tests including load testing, stress testing, failover testing, endurance testing, baseline testing, and benchmark testing
Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) in real-time during test execution
Tracking metrics such as active threads, hits per second, throughput, response times, CPU usage, memory usage, and error rates
Monitoring application server performance metrics including JVM, garbage collection (GC), JDBC, and thread pool
Collecting graphs, metrics, and summary details from APM tools
Analyzing collected data to assess test compliance with SLA criteria and determine PASS/FAIL status
Generating detailed analysis reports summarizing test goals, results, server-side and client-side metrics, and observations
Identifying system performance bottlenecks and root causes of issues
Providing actionable recommendations to improve performance to clients
