• Oversee welding and press operations, analyze product defect reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall factory productivity.
• Conduct daily L1 meetings to discuss safety, quality, and plan versus actual outputs, identifying and addressing issues that impact achieving production targets.
• Interpret and execute instructions from drawings, manuals, SOPs, MOS, and other materials to produce finished goods.
• Qualify new welders according to AWS D17.1 standards for aviation tube and duct fusion and orbital welding.
• Execute production plans, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
• Maintain and track daily KPIs, developing countermeasures to address any issues that arise.
• Ensure material availability for subsequent shifts, aligning with operations team plans.
• Communicate effectively with team members to resolve production, quality, EHS, and timely vouchering issues.
• Manage rework and in-process parts, ensuring completion within cycle time and identifying opportunities for cycle time reduction.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), At point problem solve (APPS), and Problem-Solving Reports (PSR) to address defects and issues, implementing corrective actions.
• Identify and report concerns for maintaining a safe work environment.
