- Prepare SOPs, MOS, Process checklist & Routing for welding & brazing process.
- Select, approve and quantity estimation of welding consumables and preparation of relevant work instruction.
- Leading a team of 100+ Welders & 3+ process team leader to ensure process compliance & productivity.
- Monitor weld process performance in terms of First pass yield, DPU, productivity & process adherence and take corrective/Preventive actions for any deviation.
- Monitor welder training & qualification and review WPS/PQR.
- Work with Cross functional team for solving critical issues.
- As an authorized person (PR) for NC disposition for GE & RR products, review all non-conformances (NC) & provide rework disposition.
- Develop and execute continuous improvement activities to reduce cycle time, inventory, and waste while improving process performance, quality, cost, and standardizing the processes.
- Preparation of Control Plans & PFMEA.
- Lean Principles & Workouts (5S, VSM, Lean Workouts, Kaizen Process and so on) to drive operational improvements, FPY improvements, Process Improvements & COQ reductions.
- Ontime delivery of newly introduced RBS program for leap 1A & 1B engine.
- Implemented Digital Help call system to provide digital tool for operators to raise hand for any issue identified.
- Led process improvement drives and reduced manufacturing scrap cost by 27% and hence gave cost out of $ 112.3K.
- Basic knowledge in foundry and machine shop.
- Improved weld FPY in x-ray inspection through six sigma DMAIC from 70% to 98%.
- 100% Orbital weld implemented for Fuel manifold tubes which helped to eliminate skill dependency & improve productivity by 25%.
