• Worked as Setter Com Operator for initial one year and got promoted to Programmer and serving the organization as programmer from past 3 years
• Responsible for overall function of Machine shop production.
• Leading the Shop Machining Team which houses CNC, SPMs & Conventional machines to achieve targets in productivity, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Plan daily and weekly production tasks in accordance with the outlines of the monthly production schedule.
• Ensure and monitor the over-all activities within m/c shop area to enable smooth flow of production for attaining maximum efficiency of operations.
• Keep a track of quality trends, including rejects & reworks, loss of production and institute measures to improve the quality of output and reduce rejects and rework.
• Ensure allocation of jobs to workmen and machine as per the production schedule for optimum utilization of men and machine to ensure production targets as per the requirements.
• Guide the engineers to attend to the problems in machines due to job trouble, tools, methods, repair etc. and ensure smooth and continuous production activities and efficient operations.
• Analyze and control non-conformities in system/procedure/methods in co-ordination with inter/either other departments to ensure delivery of quality and cost-effective results.
• Lead representative of the department for preparing technical specification for procurement of Machinery, work holding fixtures, Tooling and accessories, facility requisites, etc.
• Standardization in the use of cutting tools for the manufacturing and machine parts on CNC & conventional machines to reduce the cost and increase the productivity.
• Raising RFQ’ s to vendors/ suppliers and initiating for procurement.
• Making Standard operating procedures (SOP) in-line with effective optimum commitments.
• Review achievement against Plan vs. Actual on daily/weekly/monthly basis and create action plan.
• Handled Continuous projects like reduction of cycle time, Reducing Inventory, Space reduction, minimizing cost of projects – sustain operation cost.
• Prototyping and conduct FAI and endorse product and process developments.
• Defining process capability and machine capability for the product and creating execution plan.
• Exposure/update on current and latest machining technologies emerging in the manufacturing industry.
• Ensure safe working environment and good housekeeping in machine shop area.
