Setting up the weekly, monthly, quarterly procurement plan.
Quadrant Analysis of Vendors: A tool to categorize the suppliers into high, medium, and low income generating.
Category Role Matrix: Classification of products on the basis of its sales volume as well as profitability.
Category Reengineering/Space optimization: Creating shelf-wise product database. Its performance as per the space provided (sale/meter), thereby increasing the space for high-performing ones and reducing the some for low-performing ones.
Procurement of products from national and international markets.
Development of alternative local sources for imported products, which helps in cost saving.
Planning and budgeting of purchase involving cost estimation, contract negotiations.
Preparations of reports to avoid situations like overstocking or stock outs, which can cause financial losses.
Liaison with finance department for timely payment of bills.
Developing reports on procurement and usage of material for top management.
Timely ageing stock clearance
Promotion Planning:Preparation of flyers to improve the reach ability of products to the customers and also for its timely liquadation.
Vendor fill rate analysis:Analysis is made between vendors to know whether the goods delivered are fulfilling the order placed or the same are only partially delivered.
Development of Back Margin:Contract Negotiations are made yearly to increase rebate% as well as to generate some additional income from vendors.
Effective management of vendor database
Registration of new vendors.
Evaluating vendors & negotiating the price,delivery schedule,terms and conditions with them
Timely clearance of payments & handling vendor inquiries.
