Futures and options

• Responsible for the confirmation and settlement of futures and options trades.
• Reconciling and processing the variation margins.
• Booking initial margin, assignment commissions, give-up fees, and interest.
• Processing over-margin payments.
• Reconciling trades to ensure they are correctly posted in the accounting system, and verifying records with external parties (custodians and fund accounting teams).
• Coordinating with the IT team to onboard FCMs (Futures Clearing Members) on FIX confirmation.

Fixed Income and Equities

• Responsible for US DTC, FEDWIRE, and Euroclear markets to ensure all trades are settled on the value date.
• Coordinate with counterparties via FIX, CTM, or email, and work closely with custodians to confirm and match trades, and resolve any SSI or static data mismatches.
• Working with the Securities Lending team to recall loaned securities on time, minimizing buy-in risk, and ensuring smooth settlements.
• Investigate trade discrepancies due to corporate actions, booking errors, or SWIFT message issues, and liaise with brokers and internal teams for resolution.
• Update and maintain Settlement Instructions (SSI) via DTCC ALERT, support brokers during new account setups, and prepare manual faxes for unresolved trades.
• Serve as the point of contact for Front Office team, including Portfolio Managers, Traders, Compliance, and Legal, handling queries and resolving funding shortfalls or overdraft risks.
• Liaise with the US Claims team to resolve claims from counterparties, and report failed or overdue trades to relationship managers and front-office stakeholders

Client Delivery Management and OTC (Accounting).

• Capturing OTC-related trades, products such as interest rate swaps, total return swaps, and credit default swaps, as per instructions received from various investment managers.
• Resolve any trade, FX, income, and corporate action queries with both internal and external parties.
• Monitoring security and cash settlements.
• Working on non-receipt, non-payments, and overdrafts.
• Proactively working on new fund/investment manager onboarding.
• Keeping more focus on buy-in related trades and making them settle on a high-priority basis.
• Respond to queries raised by portfolio managers, brokers, custodians, and other investment operations departments.
• Ensuring day-to-day SLA and quality parameters are met, and the checklist is prepared and submitted to the supervisors.

Transaction Processing Group.

• Managing FX (spot and forward) and future trade confirmation and settlement.
• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders in order to match and confirm trades booked.
• Investigating mismatches and chasing counterparties to resolve discrepancies.
• Reconciling and confirming the margin movements with the FCM.
• Booking and settlements of pledge and recall cash/securities collateral, as per the requirement of exposure, MTM.
• Releasing SWIFT/Fax instructions to custodians for settlement purposes.
• Working with counterparties/FCM to match the FX trades via MT300, and F&O trades via FIX.
• Interacting with the client on multiple settlement instructions and advising the static team to update the client’s SSI.
• Managing all post-settlement tasks.

• Handled pre- and post-settlement processes for Equity and Fixed Income Derivatives (IRS & CDS) trades.
• Investigated, escalated, and resolved breaks within defined timeframes.
• Validated trade bookings and confirmed settlement eligibility with counter-parties.
• Monitored large wire transfers and ensured timely management approval.
• Oversaw cash flows and settlement controls across multiple currencies to meet cutoffs.
• Resolved trade discrepancies by coordinating with Middle Office and Trade Support teams.
• Reconciled breaks daily and conducted checks for cash and journal settlements.
• Performed additional tasks including SSI updates, client contact maintenance, and reporting.
• Collaborated with counter-parties, payment teams, and reconciliation units to ensure timely trade confirmation and settlement.
