Pre-op: Verified sterile instruments, sutures, drapes, medications; confirmed patient identity, consent, allergies; prepped positioning, and skin; ensured neonatal resuscitation readiness.
Intra-op – Scrub Role: Maintained a sterile field, anticipated and passed instruments and sutures, and managed counts of instruments, needles, and swabs.
Intra-op – Circulating Role: Supported the sterile team, procured supplies, monitored patient safety, and documented events, medications, and specimens.
Delivery: Prepared newborn care setup; assisted in baby handover to the neonatal team; documented birth time and Apgar scores.
Post-op: Completed final counts, assisted with wound dressing and transfer, monitored for bleeding and complications, labeled specimens, and handled documentation and handover.
Team Coordination: Collaborated with the obstetrician, anesthetist, and pediatric team for a seamless surgical workflow.
