  • Responsible for ensuring the safe user of radiotherapy as well as radio diagnostic equipment in compliance with the regulatory aspects put forward by the national regulatory body (AERB) and maintaining all the records regarding safety status and radiation survey results of the facility as well as furnishing the employer and regulatory authority with the same.
  • Responsible for making sure that every radiation worker is provided with a personal monitoring device (TLD) and uses it regularly, periodic assessment of the same, and keeping personal dose records.
  • Perform possible repair of the machine (Elekta Linear Accelerator) by telephonic communication with the service engineer from the vendor and keeping all the records of every work order and maintenance work conducted on the machine. Held the responsibility of explaining the safety status of the facility to the regulatory body (AERB) during the remote regulatory inspection of our institution.
  • Advise clinical staff on the effects of various treatment plan options on patient dose distributions. Discuss and agree on approaches with clinical staff to create optimal treatment plans and advise on aspects of the treatment and patient setup, as required.
