I'm a firm believer in having a growth mindset and doing continuous improvements in all areas of life. Due to which I've managed to build up a personality which does well professionally as well as personally.
My personality and skillset suits up well with areas of operations and supply chain which demands perpetual continuous improvements.
I've gained professional experience in managing operations successfully and I've enjoyed doing it. Ergo, looking forward to join a reputable company for which I'm a best fit and vice-versa.
Worked as a Senior Executive at the National Distribution Center of Reliance Retail for around 7 months. First 3 months were spent on an overview of the Inbound, Inventory, Outbound and Transport departments under their respective managers. In these 3 months I gained knowledge about functioning of each department and their role in the Supply Chain. In the next 4 months I was assigned as an Executive to the outbound and transport departments.
My responsibilities included managing the whole operations of the respective departments while assisting the Department Managers and sometimes filling in their shoes.
Learnings:
- Managing manpower of around 90 people while coordinating with all the responsible authorities like Supervisors, Key Account Manager etc.
- Working under high pressure while achieving respective targets.
- Key elements of Supply Chain and Logistics.
- Hands on experience on advanced Excel and SAP WM.
- Working on large data sets and retrieving information from it to optimize workflow.
- Coordinating with various departments and how everything is linked to each other and how one weak link risks the whole chain.
- Exposure to the working environment improved the clarity towards my goals.
Achievements-
1. Designed and Implemented Outbound Planner Sheet through which the daily picking can be assigned to respective pickers and daily picking targets can be achieved with ease. This resulted in setting more achievable targets, discovering bottlenecks and the deviation between targets and actual picking was reduced.
2. Implemented assigning of locations to the material to be dispatched which not only reduced the loading time of vehicles but also resulted in utilization of 100% of the vehicle capacity for the first time during the 2019 festival season.
Role:
Assisted entrepreneurs based of college Technology Incubation Centre in their projects.
Project:
Conceptualization and design of 'Automated Quartz Heater Tubes Assembly Machine' for Raheja Industries based in Ghaziabad.
Learnings:
As a fresher getting involved with entrepreneurs in their projects provided a great perspective. Learned multitasking, team-work and designing of products.

undefinedFinal year project: "Optimization of process parameters of CNC Milling machine for improved surface roughness of FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) using Taguchi Method".
Experiments were conducted based on the plan of experiments generated through Taguchi’s Technique. An L9 orthogonal array was selected for experimentation. Cutting speed, rotational feed, and depth of cut were the three parameters taken for the experimentation at three different levels.
The objective of the model was chosen as “smaller the better” characteristics to analyze the Surface roughness. The investigation, to find the influence of cutting speed, feed, and depth of cut on the material removal rate and surface roughness was carried out using analysis of variance (ANOVA). ANOVA is performed on the measured data and signal to noise (S/N) ratios are observed. A correlation derived from the results of Taguchi's experimental design is the Analysis of variance proposed.
It was demonstrated that the predicted results obtained were consistent with the experimental observations. The optimal values of control factors for optimum surface roughness of FRP of 1.64 µm are spindle speed of 400 rpm and feed rate of 0.3 mm/rev and depth of cut of 1.5mm. Out of three variables, each of them is having its influential effects on the surface roughness in which the dominant one is spindle speed followed by feed rate and the least affecting factor is the depth of cut.
Summer Training: BHEL Haridwar.
I went through all the sections in Turbine Manufacturing. Also, I got to know about the history of the industry, area, capacity, machines installed & facilities in the Industry.
It is well known that In power generation steam turbine is mostly used because of its greater thermal efficiency and higher power-to-weight ratio. Of all heat engines and prime movers, the steam turbine is nearest to the ideal and it is widely used in power plants and in all industries where power is needed for the process. Because the turbine generates rotary motion, it is particularly suited to be used to drive an electrical generator – about 80 to 90% of all electricity generation in the world is done by the use of steam turbines.
I learned about the working of steam turbines and their types, their parts like blades, casing, rotor (rotor is the heart of the steam turbine and it affects the efficiency of the steam turbine.), constructional features and procedure along with equipment used. Then I went into detail learning about blades; the material of the blade, types of blades, operations performed on blades. Visited the New blade shop with advanced technology like CNC Shaping Machine.
The summer internship brought to my knowledge the various machining and fabrication processes that went through not only in the manufacturing of blades but other parts of the turbine.
