Scope

• End-to-end deal related work from preparation of deal documents, modelling, due diligence support and stakeholder management
• Evaluated 100+ opportunities across a range of sectors in addition to presenting my initial thesis/recommendations to the entire team
• Interacted with 100+ Indian founders/entrepreneurs for a deep dive into their businesses in order to build of pipeline of opportunities
• Shouldering responsibility for the conceptualisation, documentation and execution of several internal strategy projects for the firm

Advisory / Investment Projects (External)

• Pre-Series B co-investment of $5m for the world's first over the top buy-now-pay-later platform raising $80m at a $500m valuation
• Follow-on investment of $5m for a portfolio company which is an earned-wage-access provider to fund its next phase of growth
• Advised a mid-market PE fund to arrange a c. $48m bespoke debt facility for them to acquire a global specialty pharma company
• Series C co-investment of $4m for a medical technology company in the round led by a British billionaire hedge fund manager
• Leading the Series A investment round of $5m in a platform that helps corporate organizers with different hotel booking services

Strategy Projects (Internal)

• Responsible for the documentation and execution of the IFA (Independent Financial Advisory) roll-up / buy and build program
• Secured $100m warehouse facility for the dividend recapitalisation program in addition to sourcing qualified targets for the same
• Managed to onboard HNIs/UHNIs to the wealth management business leading to an additional $180m asset under management
• Leading the conceptualisation and execution of the trade finance program that will be launched with a digital supply chain platform

Personal (Angel Investments)

• Invested proprietary capital in a Maryland-based biotechnology company that produces a renewable replacement for crude oil
• Invested proprietary capital in a Seattle-based furniture brand that sells collectible furnishings from world's top emerging designers

• Shouldering sole responsibility for end-to-end preparation of information memorandums and financial models for private equity fund raising transactions
• The work done helped the team to win mandates to act as the Exclusive Financial Advisor on 4 deals (INR 350 crore+) and Left Lead Bookrunner on 1 deal (INR 400 crore+) in sectors including Logistics, Real Estate, Specialty Chemicals

• Preparation of pitchbooks, financial analysis reports, financial models, shareholder meeting updates, capital commitment and other internal processing documents by liaising with senior onshore bankers across diverse sectors
• The work done was appreciated as a key contributor towards HSBC getting mandates to act as the Joint Global Co-ordinator on 3 deals (all are more than USD100mn) in the Middle East region

• Part of the investment team, worked on identification of investment opportunities across sectors that involved deep dive analysis of incumbent categories and building out financial models for target companies; investment recommendations made based on company and industry analysis along with identification of contingencies & key risk factors
