• Responsible for coordinate with government authorities (DISH/Chief Inspector/ADF/DDF/DOF/RO/Fire Officer) for HSE Compliance, Factory license (Drawing Approval, Reports & Audits), PESO licenses, Fire NOC, Environment Licenses (CTE, CTO, Environment Clearance, HMW, BMW, etc.).

• Responsible to ensure legal compliance as per India Factory Act & State Rules, BOCW, MSHIC, Petroleum Act & Rules, PNG regulations, CEA regulation, Fire & Life safety Act & Rules, NBC Codes (Chapter – IV), Environment regulations such as Environment Protection Act & Rules, Air & Noise Projection Acts. Hazardous waste Management Rules, Bio medical was management Rules, Environment Clearance Rules.

• Responsible For ISO 14001:2015 (OHMS) & ISO 45001: 2018 (EMS)management system certification and compliances

• Responsible for preparation and management of CapEx & OpEx budgets for the HSE functions.

• Core Coordinator of Security Management in view of safety of employees and workers to provide the safe & secure working industrial park.

• Demonstrated a high level of initiative and creativity while tackling difficult tasks.

Functional Role for the HSE Management System

Occupational Health & Hygiene Management

· Managing well equipped Occupational Health Centre with 03 doctors & medical staffs and their work.

· Management of Pre-employment & Parodic Health Checkup of the employees and contractors and workplace.

· Organizing Health Campaign at workplace to create awareness in employees, workers and interested parties.

· Developing Industrial/Occupational hygiene Practices at grass route level.

· Periodically & as required conducting, Qualitative & Quantitative workplace exposure assessment (Area & personal Sampling).

· Physically agent’s viz. Air, Noise, Heat Stress, Illumination, Indoor Air Quality Monitoring, Ergonomics Assessment (RULA/REBA) assessments.

· Data Analysis & Correlating the values with the standard threshold values as per ACGIH/OSHA/NIOSH & Indian Factory Act’1948 & implementing effective control measures.

Safety Management

· Responsible for implementation of Safety Management at Haier North Industrial Park.

· Planning and organizing measures necessary for the effective control of personal injuries and asset safety.

· Management of ISO 45001:2018 (OHMS) standards implementation and its compliances.

· Leading the Management of Change Process and ensure its measures at workplaces.

· Preparation, of safety reports, MIS and submission on Monthly and also government reports as per national & state regulation and submission of safety compliances to DISH/Chief Inspector.

· Periodic review of the workplace safety standards with the team leaders of factories and advising of necessary changes required at workplace.

· Contractor Safety Management at factories and ensure safety of the contact workers at workplaces.

· Organize Safety committee meetings on monthly basis and ensuring its effectiveness at shop floor level.

· Conduct Incident investigation with proper methodical approach to workplace risk reduction.

· Management of Core Safety management team/Core Function Team of the factories and working for the improvement of safety management at workplace.

· Organizing the process compliance with safety requirement by the factory team, interested parties to minimize the workplace risk.

· Accountable for the implementation and assurance of work permit system.

· Conduct HIRA, Job Safety Analysis of the manufacturing and non-routine activity processes.

· Organize process safety studies, Risk Assessment, QRA, HAZOP, PHA, HIRA & Layer of primary containment (LOPC) and ensure its implementation.

· Conduct PPE'S Assessment and its effectiveness at workplace.

· Ensure work permit system compliance at workplaces and conduct audits of work permit system.

· Organizing monthly safety audit of the factories and ensure its compliances at workplaces.

· Responsible for Project Safety management and ensure the compliances as per BOCW acts.

· Organize On-site to check the effectiveness and off-site mock drill with local authorities.

· Organize Competition & Campaigning i.e. Safety Week, Road Safety Week, Haier Safety Camping.

Fire Management

· Management of Fire protection system (Activity & Passive) at Haier North Industrial Park.

· Manage well organized Fire Station and crew members.

· Organizing Daily/Weekly Fire Drills of Fire Safety teams and check its effectiveness.

· Conduct inspection & maintenance Fire Extinguisher's, Hydrants, Deluge valve & sprinklers, Fire

Tenders, SCBA Fire detection & alarm system and emergency Equipment’s.

· Conduct inspection & functional testing gas suppression/flooding system.

· Conduct Functional testing of Fire pumps to check its effectiveness.

· Monitoring & Management of Fire Detection & Alarm System.

· Conduct Fire drills to check the effectiveness of Fire Safety Team.

· Handle the Fire & emergency at Factory, nearby industries and mutual aid partner’s locations.

· Develop Emergency Preparedness & response team from factory team and ensure it’s compliance.

Organize Off-site & On-site Mock Drill with emergency team, mutual aid partners & Govt. authorities

o Environment Management System

· Leading to Environment Management at Haier North Industrial Park.

· Conduct environment monitoring as per CTE/CTO condition at Factory, i.e. Ambient Air & Noise, DG’S, Process exhausts, ETP,STP, Borewell water etc. as per applicable

laws and co relating the data and suggesting way for improvements.

· Responsible for the all environmental licenses I.e. Environment Clearance, consent of Establishment, Consent to Operate, Hazardous waste NOC, Bio Medical NOC, Bore-well NOC etc.

· Responsible for environment compliances submission to local and central authorities.

· Taking lead for the Environment Clearance data & Report preparation for ToR Grant, Certified Compliances from MOEF, Presentation & final NOC grant.

· Ensuring all the waste disposal as per applicable standards and its compliances, i.e. Hazardous waste, Plastic waste, Bio Medical waste, etc.

· Responsible for the contacting for the authorized vendor/supplier agreement as per applicable laws to meet the compliance requirements.

· Management GRAP regulation/order implementation which is issue by commission of Air Quality, NCT Delhi.

· Creating awareness related to environment at workplace through Camping & CSR Activities

Develop annual strategy for Environmental, Safety, Health (ESH) & Fire entails setting objectives, risk assessment, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement. Implementation involves task allocation, compliance monitoring, emergency preparedness, and continuous improvement. Specific responsibilities include managing fire safety teams, conducting audits, investigations, and overseeing legal compliance. Key tasks also involve contractor management, training, medical checkups, and safety committee meetings. Maintenance of fire stations, procurement of safety gear, and organizing safety campaigns are essential. By following this structured approach, organizations can ensure a safe workplace and compliance with regulations while fostering a culture of safety.

Leading to Fire & Safety functions for a 4000 MW Ultra Mega Power plant, responsibilities include managing the Fire & Safety team, ensuring effective fire management systems, and conducting drills for personnel. Inspection and maintenance of firefighting equipment, gas flooding systems, and compliance with legal regulations are crucial. Training programs cover firefighting, emergency response, and chemical safety. Activities also encompass risk assessments, safety reviews, and incident investigations. Utilization of SAP EHS module streamlines processes. Regular audits, including fire prevention and process safety, are conducted, with corrective actions implemented. Collaborative efforts with stakeholders promote safety awareness through events and campaigns.

Managing ESH operations encompasses overseeing all ESH and fire-related activities, conducting audits, inspections, and supervising the plant's ETP. Notably, achieving ISO 9001:2015 and SA 8000 audit clearance underscores adherence to EHS standards and social accountability.

Managing shift Fire & Safety operations involves auditing and inspecting shift activities. Notably, successfully rescuing labor from a coal vessel hatch (60 ft. depth) showcases emergency response proficiency. Implementing safety standards across workplaces reflects dedication to maintaining a safe working environment.
