Helping the client in making sense of the numbers and creating POC ( Proof of concept)

The Bangalore Reserving team helped the US team in migrating the Actual vs expected process from excel to SQL

We also started working on the Reserve studies with a dedicated US counterpart.

We initially were a 3 member team but with the advent of more people in the team , the studies grew

• Validated risk information from the business and emerging risks in the industry and providing constructive analysis and interpretation as appropriate.
• Produced enterprise wide risk reports against risk appetite for senior management, boards, committees, statutory entities, Group and regulators highlighting risks, issues, control failings and identifying areas for management action. Provide meaningful oversight and challenge to Risk reports to ensure consistency, completeness and clarity of message.
• Communicated the results of the annual statement of compliance and monitoring to the Risk team, other functions and senior management.
• Reviewed the self-assessments through continuous monitoring of policy compliance and conducted reviews of key controls to mitigate the top risks, including identification of control gaps and deficiencies and development of remediation plans.
• Supported the Internal Model application and on-going compliance with Solvency II requirements to ensure that there are appropriate governance arrangements in place to support the Internal Model Solvency II compliance with respect to Data quality and documentation standards.

• Led successful completion of Insurance Practice and Solutions projects to achieve Insurance Solutions & Business Development
• Major Process Handled United States/Canada Process; APAC/MEA Process; Casualty (AIGRM Division) Rate Monitoring
• Data analysis and Statistical modelling in SQL for financial lines and Casualty processes
• Incorporation of rate change calculation and rate monitoring technique in SQL for Casualty AIGRM
• Impact analysis to find the top and bottom 10 impact accounts
• Set up the RDBMS workflow from the time underwriter writes the policy to the time the rate change is calculated
• Successfully led various programs, developed relationship with business stakeholders and presented changes, issues, risks & contingency plans to balance program/project resources, schedules & scope

• Performed pricing and experience analyses on RMS , AIR and EQECAT including communication of indications to business units and assessment of loss reduction options.
• Attending & participating in meetings to review results and recommendations with Underwriting.
• Assisting in providing front line pricing support to  Underwriting and senior management as necessary.
• Supporting strategic tools by monitoring changes to aggregate pricing levels and profitability through periodic analyses of the price monitor,planning/budgeting model and/or predictive modeling.
