DISTRICT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, Leads 'Creating Positive Classroom Culture and Climate Leadership Series' designed to increase teacher capacity and enhance leadership within the school District. Leads professional development to enhance teacher knowledge of instructional best practices including classroom management strategies.
STAFF DEVELOPMENT, Works with principal in creating, organizing and coordinating schoolwide initiatives to increase student literacy, high academic expectations, student achievement and implementation of instructional practices.
CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT, Facilitates Professional Learning communities to ensure grade level objectives are aligned with District and State mandates and objectives horizontally and vertically. Works closely with teachers analyzing data to determine needs of students and necessary adjustments to the scope and sequence.
INTERVIEWING CANDIDATES, Assists in the selection process of candidates for appropriate job openings.
ACADEMIC ADVISING, Provides assistance in helping a students learn how to make practical academic plans and decisions based on the student’s stated goals, and how to think through the consequences of the student’s own choices.
DATA ANALYSIS, Consistently reviews student data such as ISTEP, NWEA, attendance, discipline, grades, and anecdotal synopsis to create individual and RTI interventions.
BUDGETS, Maintains Title I budget. Allocates monies for professional development, instructional supplies, guest speakers, and parent involvement.
SUPERVISION, Supervises the performance of assigned personnel; interview and select employees and recommend transfers, and or reassignments. Conducts professional development to various classified staff members as it relates to the enhancement of the school environment. Coordinates work assignments for Title I Instructional Assistants and review work to assure compliance with established requirements.
