TH 10 Super value (VA 20),
Achieved the main objective for this project that making a high-performance rig in tough boundary situation of cost (Material cost 60 Lakhs), which is very less than regular TH 10 machine in which material cost is 0.95 – 1 Cr. Target of making the rig is achieved through various methods like Import substitution, developing the alternate source for fabrication and machining parts, Hydraulics parts, Gearbox Suppliers, revisiting the cost of fabricated parts and modifying the design of part to increase the quality level with competitive price by involving project stakeholders.
Vendor rationalization:
Achieved the main objective of project by reducing number of suppliers (removal of non-performing suppliers) without deviating 3 main pillars QDC (Quality, delivery and cost) for a part to maintain product cost. So, without deviating from objectives of this project, major target of reduction of 59 non-performing vendors out of 167 from Light- medium fabrication and machining commodity and avg. of 2 - 3 % reduction in product cost (Total Reduction) was achieved. This has resulted in saving the follow up time and helps in focusing the on business to strategic supplier by increased in quality and delivery.
