As the 3rd engineer on LNG carriers, I have been individually responsible for the maintenance of the boilers, purifier, pumps, and diesel generator Model - MAN STX 9L32/40, 4 sets of 4500 kW each.

Major Overhauling of Diesel generator engine for 60,000 hrs.

Worked on MAN B&W ME ENGINE under supervision and also led team for doing maintenance for unit overhaul.

Also, I have been a safety officer onboard ships.

1) Promote and execute safety culture through action and demonstrate intervention and step back.

2) Ensure control of work is strictly implemented and followed while carrying out all task under my responsibilities, as entrusted by the CE & 2E. Maintain a strict supervision and helicopter view on everyone involved, positively discuss scope of work, stage plan, dynamic risk assessment, reassess if change in scope of job and step back if required.

3) Encourage open reporting among the ratings and sharing feedback in the morning meetings.

4) Promoting weak signals and risk normalization awareness on board.

5) Ensure personnel abilities are enhanced when mistakes are made, embed Learner mind-set.

6) Intervene and accept intervention positively to improve safety awareness

Worked as a fourth engineer on an LPG carrier.

• Performed preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of equipment, such as pumps, motors, conveyors, and valves.
• Maintained records of scheduled maintenance activities.
• Ensured compliance with safety regulations during all maintenance operations.
• Monitored and adjusted systems to ensure optimal performance levels.

APPRENTICESHIP

Started my career as a cadet on Anchor Handling, Fire Fighting, Towing, and Platform Supply Vessel in Mumbai High Field.
