The Samsung manufacturing complex housing manufacturing facilities for Color Televisions, Mobile phones, Refrigerators and Washing Machines is located at Noida, near Delhi. Samsung 'Made in India' products like Color Televisions, Mobile phones and Refrigerators are being exported to Middle East, CIS and SAARC countries

● To look after all Mechanical part development & localization for Mobile phone.

● Established procedures for corrective and preventive maintenance.

● Vendor Capacity analysis, evaluation and rating accordingly

● Part Costing analysis, negotiation, capacity enhancement, supporting Production target

● To implement all ECN and modification on time to support supply

● Supplier Process validation and optimization, capacity analysis, evaluation and rating.

● Development of all injection molded parts (Trials, Cycle time, Coating, Testing)

● Checking all parts reliability test & process.

● To adhere plan Vs actual of Mould preventive maintenance, for defect free products

● Manufacturing cycle time improvement, Follow-up with supplier and coordinating the development activities as per target.

● Managed and scheduled equipment and system preventive maintenance programs to verify contractual compliance

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

• Change in design for defect of Mic hole in Mobile phone models & parallel implementation in three models without changing part design
• Validation of Injection machine for all vendors to check for machine specs Vs actual, and grading of machines
• One green belt project completed successfully to reduce the mechanical defect in Mobile phone model.
• Two weeks training for mold manufacturing and Injection process in Gumi, South Korea.
• Worked closely with vendors and internal sourcing to establish relationships, fostering new opportunities, solutions and cost savings
• Conducted routine and ongoing assessments of system operations by performing tests, rounds and analyzing data
• Determined necessary steps to bring systems into compliance

SUMI MOTHERSON INNOVATIVE ENGINEERING LTD., (SMIEL) is a joint venture between Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Japan & Motherson Group, which is serving as source for tooling, & Injection molding parts for group companies (MSSL, SWS etc.), parent company (Sumitomo Wiring Systems Ltd., Japan) & our others customers. Ø Reduction in mould change time by improvement of minimum movement during mould change and tool standardization.

Ø Introducing and supervise activity relating to Kaizens and 5S on shop floor.

Ø Core team member of PIC (Process Improvement Cell) and introducing low cost automation system, Flash less mould.
