Prediction of Positive Definite Elastic Stiffness Tensors, MTP, Prof. Banerjee

• Developed an Artificial Neural Network model which takes the strain tensor as input and ensures a 6×6 positive symmetric definite matrix as output.
• Cholesky factorization scheme is abstracted in this work as a transformation layer that enforces the SPD condition.
• The trained model was able to predict the Stiffness matrix values with an accuracy of 85%.
