A skilled Petrophysicist, with more than twelve years of experience in the oil & energy industry. Carry proficiency in single and multi-well petrophysics, core-log integration, log data processing and interpretation of basic and advanced logs. I have strong operational understanding of logging tool physics across all service vendors, open and cased hole, wireline and LWD. Proficient in acoustic and image log data processing and interpretation. Well versed with downhole pressure and fluid analysis for estimation of fluid contacts, routine and special core analysis. A team player and experienced in saturation height modelling, geomechanics and rock physics modelling. Well informed with the latest logging technology and leading Petrophysical Softwares in the market with proficiency in Geolog and Techlog. Currently working as a Superintending Petrophysicist, in esteemed research institute, Geo Data Processing and Interpretation Centre (GEOPIC) of ONGC at Dehradun, India. The job role is co-ordination and provision of all aspects of petrophysics within a multidisciplinary team environment with following responsibilities:
• Supervising log data collection, log data QC, conditioning, processing and interpretation of standard and advance log data
• Defining scope of work, procedures, parameters and timing to carry out petrophysical work to team members and performing timely reviews and quality checks
• Perform volumetric assessments and participate in hydrocarbon in place assessment
• Coordinate and participate in meetings with multidisciplinary teams to explain petrophysical contributions to exploration and field development plans
• Advising on well completion programmes along with casing depths and cementation quality
• Carry out and supervise saturation height modeling, geomechanics, and rock typing
• Deliver lecture and explain logging technology to reservoir, G&G and other disciplines
• Data presentation through workshops & presentations to project teams, peers and management and advise them on exploration risks and opportunities
• Mentoring younger professionals to take lead in fast-paced environments.
Gained strong leadership skills by managing projects from start to finish. Major assignment included:
• Carrying out research in Petrophysics on latest technology in order to mitigate uncertainties in reservoir characterization
• Formation pressure and downhole fluid analysis and estimation of fluid contacts
• Control petrophysical data handling and processing techniques on single well and multi wells and carry out log predictions using different statistical techniques such as neural network, MRGC, multi-linear regressions, and python scripting
• Shear wave modelling using Rock Physics to provide input for prestack seismic inversion
• Cased Hole and Production log analysis & Interpretation, Planning for Production Logging Jobs, recommendations for the revival of sick wells on the basis of production logs.
• Carried out Open Hole log data processing and interpretation for formation evaluation of exploratory and development wells.
