I completed a 2-week internship at the University of Westminster, London, in applied cryptography. I was trained in the topics of Internet security, cloud computing, mobile computing, and the Internet of Things. I was taught the implementation of various algorithms such as AES, DES, symmetric ciphers, asymmetric public keys, RSA, MD5, and SHA. I was also introduced to various concepts like hash functions, digital signatures with public key infrastructure, certification authority, transport layer security authentication, and granting services.
