Cox is the United State Third largest Cable Television Provides; Cox offers both Analog Cable Televisions under the Cox Cable Brand as well as advanced digital video service under the Cox Digital Cable brand.

Primary Source: Land base, Route Network, RF Network and Fiber Network sources are given in the Auto Cad and Map Info format.

Land Base: These sources are consisting of Transportation Networks, Water bodies, Land marks, Plot boundaries, etc.

Route Network: In this mainly Route network features such as Poles, Pedestals, Grounds, Anchors, Aerial Route, Underground Route, Surface Utility Mounts, Underground Utility boxes, etc.

RF Network: Amplifiers, Coaxial Cables, End OF Lines, Optical Nodes, Power Houses, Taps, Power Houses, Splitters, etc.

Fiber Network: Optical Splices, Sheaths, Slack Loop, Hub, etc.

Project Description: Telstra is a leading telecom and information services company in Australia. The main objective of this project is off-site data maintenance. As part of this, it was required to keep the Telstra network up-to-date with the regular field updates in the Smallworld PNI GIS environment. The maintenance entailed network update advice (NUA), switch number identification (SNI), national plant assignment & management system (NPAMS), and miscellaneous projects.

As part of this project:

✓ Main role is to investigate and resolve the issues raised by the team before forwarding it to customer

✓ keep the network up-to-date with the regular field updates in the GE Small World PNI GIS environment

✓ Updating the different Databases like SIEBEL, ADBOR, PNI & NPAMS, Axis, Start, RASS and miscellaneous projects.

✓ Development on Geometry validation tool to find the geometry Changes, Geometry Errors and Report Generation

✓ Resolving the customer requests.

Maintaining Telstra Database of Records accurate and up-to-date

Generating internal and external productivity and quality reports as required

Quality control, as per the project specifications and checklist

Multiman:

Multiman is a logical database which holds all the data related to FIBRE like Nodes, FAP's, Cable.

Multiman is an on-line logical database for recording details of Telstra's Optical Fibre Network. Optical Fibre Network is represented in terms of physical plant, such as nodes, cables, cable sections and fibre interconnections that are required to connect customers to the local exchange

We are using MULTIMAN - Version 5.10

Module Inventory Tracking System (MITS)

Amending changes to devices, subscribers, links, and circuits to corresponding location in Cramer

Installing of new Modules like C-COR AMPLIFIERS, LINE EXTENDERS and OPTIMAX equipment's

Creating different types of Amplifiers in different HUB locations whenever modified or created in the field.

CRAMER

Creating, modifying and deleting the Adbor id's in Cramer to match with the TPNI and other local sites.

For easy reference in logical CRAMER-LI GUI (Graphic user interface)

Modifying circuits, devices and subscriber to the correct location using TE

Updating cloud information to the Nodes.
