Infrastructure Management & Operations · Build, configure, manage and update Microsoft Windows servers and related services (Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, DFS, Backup, robocopy etc. · Oversee the automation of virtual machine builds and deployments, leveraging scripting language such as PowerShell. · Maintain and optimize Wintel server environment for performance, Security and reliability. · Administer and monitor virtual server infrastructure, OpenStack environments.

Technical Skills and Competencies:

· Operating Systems: Expert-level knowledge Windows Server administration, troubleshooting, role/ features configuration, performance tuning, and security hardening.

· Scripting/Automation: Advanced proficiency in scripting (Python, Perl, PowerShell) and experience with automation/orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) and API integration.

· Networking and Storage: Strong understanding of advanced networking concepts (VLANs, routing, firewalls, load balancing) and enterprise storage technologies (SAN-FC/iSCSI, NAS- NFS/CIFS, Object Storage-S3) and their impact on backup performance and design.

· Databases and Applications: Experience designing backup strategies for critical enterprise applications and databases (e.g., Oracle, Mongo, SQL Server, SAP HANA, NOSQL).

· Security Principles: Strong understanding of security concepts (encryption, key management, access control, vulnerability management) applied to data protection.

· Robust Foundation in Core Cloud Computing Principles: · Exhibits a strong theoretical and practical understanding of laaS, PaaS, SaaS, Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, Databases, and Serverless architectures. · Demonstrates a proactive stance towards acquiring knowledge of new cloud services and technologies, actively seeking opportunities to optimize processes, enhance tooling, and improve system reliability. · Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

· Expertise in Developing Automation Solutions: · Exhibits the ability to design, develop, and implement scripts to streamline repetitive operational tasks, automate deployments, and enhance monitoring capabilities. Proficiency in at least one scrinting language relevant to automation lee Python Rash

Technical Leadership & Subject Matter Expertise · Server as the subject matter expert (SME) for Wintel infrastructure, providing deep technical guidance and mentorship to team members and junior engineers. · Lead the design, architecture and deployment of scalable Windows-based infrastructure solutions. · Provide technical consultancy on system performance, integration and configuration to both internal teams and external clients.

Experience in Infrastructure and Procedural Documentation: · Proven ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, operational procedures, and incident resolutions.

Security Compliance & Best Practices · Implements and enforce strict security guidelines, including patch management, server permission and compliance with ISO/ITSM standards. · Develop and execute disaster recovery plans and high-availability strategies for Wintel environments. · Ensure adherence to change management processes and documentation standards.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement · Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to integrate automation and virtualization solutions, including OpenStack where applicable · Mentor and train junior staff, fostering skills development and knowledge sharing.
