Ensure fund- specific processes exist and are documented, ensuring standard process applies whenever practical and if non-standard process must apply that, the appropriate business sign-off has been obtained.

Claims - Death
1. Inform the insurer of all new potential claims.
2. Request initial claim documents from the beneficiary.
3. Collect evidence in connection with potential beneficiaries.
4. Analyses beneficiary information to determine if sufficient investigation has been carried out to assist the trustee determine to whom to pay the benefit.
5. Provide guidance on the claim process to both the beneficiary(ies) and the client as required.
Claims- Total and Permanent Disablement
1. Inform the insurer of all new potential claims.
2. Request initial claim documents from the claimant and employer.
3. advise the claimant of any additional medical evidence required by the insurer (specialist appointments etc)
4. Provide guidance on the claim process to both the claimant and the client as required.
5. Provide assistance to the trustee in connection with complex or declined claims
Claims - Salary Continuance
1. Inform the insurer of all new potential claims.
2. Request initial claim documents from the claimant and employer.
3. Assist the claimant with any complaints or procedural issues they may have with the assessment of their claim.
