Maintenance Operations Controller

  • Ensure that the company's flights are handled in accordance with company and relevant airworthiness requirements
  • Ensure each aircraft is maintained in an airworthy condition and the Certificate of Airworthiness of each aircraft remains valid
  • Operational and emergency equipment necessary for flight is serviceable
  • Ensure that his teams are aware of the latest technical advisory and handle all aircraft activities in accordance with standard procedures with full compliance to relevant airworthiness requirements
  • Attend daily Delay Meeting/Operations Review Meeting (ORM)
  • Provide a full detailed report on any Engineering Delay or Incident in relevant report forms for all affected flights
  • Informs concerned departments of any aircraft swap or any limitations such as altitude, weight, etc as may be depicted in MEL/CDL
  • Coordinate with concerned departments for effective AOG handling of aircraft including notification of any changes of aircraft if required
  • Coordinate with concerned departments for rectification of MR1 and MR2 defects and any other maintenance requirements
  • To coordinate with 3rd party handling by ensuring services provided are satisfactory with all necessary documentation signed and submitted promptly and meet the requirements set by the airworthiness authority
  • Shall inform Maintenance Manager or his delegate on delays, AOGs, MORs or incidents and action taken
  • Advise the Maintenance Manager on all operational matters
  • Ensure that all aircraft are dispatched in a timely manner
  • Ensure 'Spares Requisitions' are submitted for all parts identified by engineers and inform concerned departments for follow-up spares
  • Carry out daily/nightly MR2 review for parts required and expiry date
  • Every effort shall be made to rectify all outstanding MR2s during night stop
  • Ensure all work is completed on all night stop aircraft with high level of work quality and productivity
  • Ensure spares and tools are available for the intended work
  • Inform or provide feedback to the Maintenance Manager for station activities as necessary
  • Effective coordination and handling of AOGs to return the aircraft to service in the shortest time possible
  • Assist ad-hoc request from other engineering department for assistance, provided the Company's operation is not jeopardised
  • Attend meetings in the absence of the Maintenance Manager
  • Liaise with MRO provider to address any issue arise during maintenance checks and resolve it together to avoid slippage in timeline of the checks
  • Coordinate with planners, Material Department and Stores, utilising AMOS system for information pertaining to the checks
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
  • To monitor Emergency AD / SB.
