  • Releasing 3 months rolling schedules to all the suppliers considering Min-Max stock.( ROP for C-class parts)
  • Working under APSYS ( ALSTOM PROCESS SYSTEMS) guidelines which is followed across all ALSTOM sites.
  • Monitoring plant stock and GIT to identify shortage materials to avoid last minute surprises.
  • Monitoring the PO acknowledgement from suppliers to improve OTD (On Time Delivery).
  • Sharing OTIF results with every vendor at the end of the month with a target of 100%. Doing RCA for low scoring vendors.
  • Calculation of requirement of materials as per production plan for current month & tentative for next three months.
  • Visiting suppliers frequently to study about their production capacity and monitoring supplies right from RM procurement till the end process to ensure OTD.
  • Maintaining safety stock at Vendor’s end for critical parts to meet immediate customer’s requirements.
  • In charge for all Cut & Bend metal parts of the CAR BODY SHELL of E-locomotives and ensure 100% on time materials availability to the production as per MPS (Master Production schedule).
  • Weekly review of Production & Sales. Setting Weekly, Monthly & Yearly Targets.
  • Review of MPS to improve the operation efficiency. Ensure the Optimum Inventory and improve the working capital.
  • Close co-ordination with Key suppliers to ensure on time delivery to run the production line as per plan.
  • Reviewing Safety Stock, Lead time and MOQ for new parts as well as existing parts in ERP System.
  • Analysis the procurement value (ABC Classification) and plan for cost reduction.
  • Close coordination with PPC, stores, purchase, quality & finance for mundane issues.
  • Ensuring on time payments to vendor for the better health of the business of both the parties.
  • Supplier portfolio consists of leading sheet metal suppliers in Heavy industries. Average monthly procurement value is 15-20 MINR.

  • Suppliers make a TBR booking in a portal named ATLAS by VOLVO before the day of dispatch in order to ensure pickup by VGLS (Volvo group of logistics system).
  • Monitoring in transit shipment and their arrival at plant then in-warding the material by making GE and GRN.
  • Monitoring supplier performance like dispatches on daily basis then sharing it with the suppliers on monthly basis along with other key performance like system adherence, Packaging, transport booking and delivery precision on time in a standard format known as monthly supplier score card.
  • Proper actions on low scoring suppliers such as taking RCA from supplier within 48 hours of MSSC( Monthly Supplier Score Card ) shared.
  • Checking parts availability at plant by unique practices like analyzing empty racks/locations.( No parts in locations means replenishment of goods even if no freeze call off) - During DCN and project parts procurement coordinating with Cross functional teams and ensuring timely introduction of DCN and project parts.
  • Arranging BRM and noting proper action plan for low performing suppliers.
  • Ensuring payment of supplier on time with proper coordination of suppliers.
