Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) is a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Sony Group Corporation. SPE’s global operations encompass motion picture production, acquisition, and distribution; television production, acquisition, and distribution; television networks; digital content creation and distribution; operation of studio facilities; and development of new entertainment products, services and technologies.

Product: A number of interconnected applications which helps facilitates the business requirements.

Backend: Java with Spring and SpringBoot framework and Dependency injection tool like Maven and Gradle, Java EE.

Frontend: Angular, Node JS, HTML & CSS

Database: Oracle, MySQL

• Worked on the development of a central management system to handle all the titles and products procured by the client

Product Development

• Worked on Product Development Lifecycle from understanding the Business Case to Implementation
• Along with team delivered many new features and enhancements for the system as per business requirements.

Data Flow

• In the system of interconnected applications, process the data coming from the upstream application using Rest Api and make sure that it is accurate and complete.
• Then send the processed data to downstream applications using JMS.

Responsibility

• Developing Microservices using spring and springboot framework and the UI using Angular technology.
• Co-ordinate with the onsite client to ensure that all requirements are completed in a timely manner.
• Ensuring the deliverables are in compliance with the requirements and free of any defects.
• Make sure the enhancements are properly tested in unit testing before it is presented to the client.
