• RESPONSIBILITIES
• Kept documentation and records accurate and up-to-date with latest data to prevent errors in processing or delivery.
• Planning, organizing, controlling and coordinating all pharmaceutical services in the warehouse
• Effective and efficient processing of client orders
• Regularly and timely processing of orders for dispatch
• Receiving drugs from suppliers and comparing whether the quantities tarry with purchase orders in items and quantities requested
• Checking the expiry of goods received and ensuring goods with long shelf life are only received Labeling drugs with MYDAWA QR stickers Ensuring proper storage of drugs in the warehouse
• Re-ordering of drugs if the stock levels are too low by liaising with procurement personne
• Ensuring the ERP system is connected to the server at all time and is working
• Keeping records of drugs, their location and updated quantities in the bin cards
• Keeping records of goods which have been dispatched to collection points (appointed delivery points-chemists)
• Monthly stock taking and daily random physical counts and comparing them with system stock levels
• Regular checking and recording the expiry of drugs on the shelves and ensuring standard operational guidelines are followed
• Goods with near expiry are sold first
• Performing any other duty that may arise as the new concept takes shape.
• Evaluated incoming shipments for quality issues and processed unacceptable materials for return.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Counsel patients on drug administration for optimum customer satisfaction;
• Compound drugs when required for effective service provision;
• Contact the physician for inaccuracy in prescription order, proper documentation and communication of it to nursing and pharmacy staff;
• Ensure complete documentation of all patient documents, interventions, incidents and other records kept in the hospital
• Receive prescriptions from patients, verify and dispense drugs within approved standards and procedures;
• Ensure the accuracy of the label before dispensing for right patient, right drug and right quantity, for effective service delivery;
• Verify expiry dates of drugs prior to dispensing to prevent anomalies in service delivery;
• Complete the expiry list accurately and in timely manner for proper recording and monitoring of drugs;
• Maintain and update personal drug knowledge data base to ensure accurate provision of pharmaceutical care of general disease states as well as specialized knowledge in the assigned area of expertise;
• Ensure that the variance levels in the stocks are kept to a minimum;
• Ensure drugs are kept at proper conditions i.e
• Vaccines are kept in low temperatures and DDAs locked up and only authorized personnel has access of the key.

• Monitored company inventory to keep stock levels and databases updated.
