- As part of my curriculum, I visited Astro Apparels a garment manufacturing industry to gain a comprehensive understanding of the export and import processes. The visit provided an in-depth look at the operations of the manufacturing plant, from production to logistics.
- During the visit, I observed the various stages of production, including raw material procurement, assembly lines, quality control, and packaging. The industry representatives explained how they ensure compliance with international standards to meet the requirements of different markets.
- The highlight of the visit was learning about the export and import processes. The company exports a significant portion of its products to various countries, which involves meticulous planning and coordination.
- I learned about the documentation required for exports, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and export licenses.
