Young Professional at Centre of Community Based Disaster Risk Management

• As a Project Associate in GIS mapping and Visualization of heritage in Kullu, my main focus was on using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to map and visually represent both tangible and intangible heritage in the region
• I focused on the traditional architecture and cultural traditions of Chehni Kothi in Kullu
• I also created maps demarcating all the temples in Kullu through ArcGis.- I created digital database interactive visualizations to document and preserve the unique aspects of the heritage site.- Apart from visualization, I also worked as a disaster manager and helped in planning, coordinating, and implementing strategies to mitigate the impact of Kullu floods, 2023
• I incorporated my skills in GIS to demarcate affected areas in digital map
• I coordinated in emergency response efforts, managing evacuation procedures, providing support to affected individuals, and assessing post-disaster damages for recovery planning.

• As a disaster management, I worked on reviewing literature for creating school policies in the case of disaster
• In this project, my main role was to formulate a field trip policy for the students which would help this taking steps and precautions regarding any emergency situations and how to deal with it.

• I worked as an intern in District Disaster Management Authority, Solan under State Disaster Management Authority, Himachal Pradesh.
