JetBlue allows pilots to request which airport Base, equipment type, and seat they want to be based out at different times of the year. These requests are referred to as bids. JetBlue creates a time period in which crew members must submit their bids and once the time period ends, all submitted bids are processed in crew member system seniority order. The process of collecting and assigning pilots to a specific base, equipment type, and/or seat during different times of the year is referred to as vacancy bid managing. Based on the specified rules, process the bid requests submitted by pilots and the settings defined by administrators. The solution defined by this program will allow the appropriate number of pilots in each base to keep flights in the air in the coming months.
