  • Company Overview: IGW is a leading manufacturer of gears and gearboxes for railway, off-road and industrial applications, belonging to the BMT Group. The gear division of the BMT Group has in-house gear and gearbox design capabilities and 12 production facilities across Europe, Asia and North America. IGW is active in Pune, India since 2015 through its local subsidiary Involute Gear.
  • Process quality inspection: To verify the process and products as per control plan.
  • To verify the process for hobbing, shaping, shaving, broaching, cnc, vmc, grinding and other process for gear and shaft.
  • To support the process engineers in preparing action plan for quality improvement.
  • To assist in coordinating for inhouse quality systems audit of product and process in order to minimize the in house rejection PPM and dispatch defect free products to customers.
  • Coordination with other internal department for quality related matters.
  • To ensure QC documentation as per contractual requirements.
  • Root cause analysis & implementation of corrective actions.
  • In Standard room using precision machines like CMM Make-Accurate (Software-Rational DMIS 7), shaft scanning machine VICIVISION, Roundness tester (mahr), contracer (zeiss), surface tester (zeiss & mitutoyo), gear testing machines of Klingelnberg P26, P40, P100, TTi-450H and conventional gear tester with calibration and programming.
  • Preparation of instruction sheets & check sheets 5 S.
  • Ensure calibration of machines and maintain calibration records for inspection.
  • Knowledge of inspecting new development project parts.
  • Knowledge of Inspection of Jigs & fixture, Gauges like plug gauge, ring gauge snap gauges and other instruments.
