With the objective of making a positive impact, I started working on a volunteering programme to support lower primary government schools in meeting their English language academic goals. Our mission thrives on the dedication of our incredible volunteers, whose commitment is central to our success. I strive to ensure their experience is both fulfilling and impactful. My area of work includes:

• Conducting in-depth assessments to tailor learning groups based on students' individual needs.
• Creating engaging, age-appropriate academic materials that seamlessly integrate with
  government-prescribed curricula.
• Actively promoting the Teach Today for Tomorrow volunteer program, recruiting volunteers, and managing applications.
• Providing comprehensive training to volunteers, supplying teaching resources, and coordinating schedules to ensure smooth operations.
• Developing detailed daily teaching plans alongside a monthly calendar to guide volunteers.
• Regularly gathering feedback and holding meetings to identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Empowering volunteers by encouraging them to take ownership of special projects and events,
  fostering leadership and initiative.

This dynamic approach helps create an environment where both students and volunteers thrive, driving a shared vision for educational progress.

Homeroom teacher for a combined Grades 3 and 4 class for the first year and the Grade 4 class in the following year.

• Focused on students achieving mastery in clearly laid out Common Core - aligned objectives according to individual learning needs and abilities.
• Emphasized on transdisciplinary and project based learning to facilitate a deeper understanding of concepts and enhance student abilities to connect, understand, and practice real world application of knowledge earned.
• Integrated technology tools for instruction for online and face to face classes.
• Familiarized students with various applications for assignment submissions, such as: Canva, StoryboardThat, and Microsoft Sway.
• Emphasized on incorporating the 21st century skills of collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking in lessons and assignments.
• Organized curriculum related field trips to create real world experiences.

• Joined Tata AIG General Insurance, India as a key Claims Department start-up team member.
• Opened the first branch of TATA AIG in North East India, acquired new clients and set up the client servicing unit.
• Seconded as Country Claim Manager at Hayleys AIG Insurance, Sri Lanka. Revamped the claims department, streamlined its operations and mentored staff to take over new responsibilities.
• Effectively managed the largest Property, Casualty and Accident & Health claims on AIG resulting from the Tsunami of 2004.
• Head of Liabilities Underwriting in AIG, South Africa.
• Evaluated, coordinated and settled large Fidelity and Liability claims in AIG, South Africa.
• Utilized prior liability claims experience to scrutinize liability risks and onboard new clients.
