First ever company I worked for after graduation is TCS-chennai as a System engineer. I got trained in Java but joined banking project as a DB admin and ETL Support. I worked for 3 years with different roles and responsibilities. Direct interactions with client .meetings to discuss on requirement clarifications, roadblocks and status update on daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain Informatica programs to extract raw data from source oracle database.
• Responsible in performing data modeling as per user requirement.
• Perform ETL on the data using Informatica before loading it to Group Data Warehouse
• Create flat files to load the data to GDW.
• Load the transformed data to Development application tables
• Handling a task of priming services for application.
• Worked in improving performance of database by tuning the queries, adding partitions on mapping level and changing the logic to get correct result for huge database which size in TB.
• Coordination between Third party vendors, SD, UAT, NFT, SIT teams for delivery of Actimize patch and ensure all issues are resolved during the shifts.
• Daily / Weekly Status reports to Delivery and Support Manager
• Weekly / Monthly Status reports to Platform Lead
• Joining the calls with the client as scheduled daily for discussion of issues of the project.
• Writing the test cases and test scenarios for auditing and also for performance testing.

This application is come in to picture to provide insurance for a people and their family including their belongings with different policies to make their life secured. This application is currently working on financial premiums and losses. Main goal of the application is to reduce the losses happened to the company in the means of offering different plans to their customers. Main objective of the application is to generate a report premiums and losses in terms of claims as a weekly report or monthly or annual reports and some adhoc reports also as per customer requirement in the form of flat files.

• RESPONSIBILITIES:-
• · As we are following agile methodology, as a developer, we have to develop the mappings , testing and deployment in prod and also Scheduling the jobs through CONTROL-M.
• · Writing effective test cases and testing the scenarios for 100% compliance of mapping.
• · We are responsible for data modeling.
• · Monitoring prod cycles using CONTROL-M tool and If the clients assign any fixes in CONTROL-M, need to fix in a given SLA.
• · As we know that performance tuning is very much important point in Data warehouse and it’s a Key responsible in reducing the cycle run time by applying portioning technique or pushdown optimization.
• · Taken care of performance tuning and data quality using IDQ tool before sending to end user.
• Cooperated fully with product owners and enterprise architects to understand requirements.
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, resulting in accurate and timely delivery of business-critical data.
• Streamlined data extraction, transformation, and loading for improved overall system performance.
• Proactively identified potential risks within projects, taking necessary steps to mitigate them before they became critical issues.

PROJECT SUMMARY:

This is a migration project, migrating all jobs from abinitio to Informatica using Informatica power center 10.2 and with Teradata macro’s.

It’s a very critical project since the reports generated from this lob is used in the downstream systems and also reports generated by this is referred by executive leadership team on daily basis.

All jobs with strict SLA’s so we have more responsible to fine tune our Informatica jobs in such a way that it shouldn’t miss the SLA ‘s otherwise it will be escalated at higher level.

We got an appreciation from the clients for successful migration of part of abinitio jobs within the deadline and also we improved the performance of jobs by removing unwanted components and fine tune of macro’s.

Responsibilities :-

• Authored code fixes and enhancements for inclusion in future code releases and patches.
• Developed next generation integration platform for internal applications.
• Investigated new and emerging software applications to select and implement administrative information systems.
• Streamlined data transformation for faster processing, reducing overall processing time.

Worked in client place for a migration project (migrate different sources in to snowflake cloud). It includes automated tool to convert the design into snowflake from oracle and it includes some manual changes as well.

Then as a developer its our responsibility to move the code into test environment and make sure its running successfully and load the data into target.

Data validation is done by client and if any deviation from the actual result they used to raise the defect and we are fixing that.

Working in Healthcare and life science Domain. My client based on US so all the data and support is as per US standards and flexible enough to match the different time.

Scope of the project is for data governance for healthcare providers, patients data. We are working on data quality improvement using different data quality rules using IDQ tool. profiles,scorecards, glossary terms and dq rules setup using AXON and EDC.

PowerBi is the tool to validate the data. Data model is designed in snowflake schema model. 2 fact table and many dimension tables(lookup tables)

• Its an individual contribution project, we receives the task through jira stories
• We follow 5 dimensions of DQ checks which are Accuracy, completeness,validity,address validation,duplicate check.
• Once the task assigned, we do make manual entries to the dimension tables as per requirement, rule creation ,mapping development and testing then creating the workflow,added in to application and deploy to data integration service and make sure all the jobs are running fine in lower environment.
• overall my day to day activities are get into the requirement,analysis ,development,testing and migrating to the production. Making sure it will run in the prod environment without any issue.
• We create the change request and make sure it will get approved in multiple levels also in CAB meeting and make sure it will scheduled as per the date.
• We are the team of data stewards,data owners,idq developers.
• Mentored junior team members for career advancement, fostering a pipeline of future leaders within the organization.
