Project Name: I-10 Kino Interchange Improvements (Design Build)

Project Overview: The Arizona Department of Transportation is making improvements to Interstate 10 in Tucson. The I-10: Kino to Country Club project was programmed into the 2024-2028 Five-Year Transportation Facilities Construction Program as a Design/Build in FY 25. The project is currently in the development stage. The project will include:

Project Name: Penn State Access (Design Build)

Location: Newyork, USA

Client: Metropolitan Transport Authority

Project Overview: Penn Station Access (PSA) is a public works project underway by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York City. The goal of the project is to allow Metro-North Railroad commuter trains to access Penn Station on Manhattan's West Side, using existing trackage owned by Amtrak. Metro-North trains currently terminate exclusively at Grand Central in Midtown Manhattan.

The project is scheduled to complement Grand Central Madison, which opened as part of East Side Access in 2023, and will commence in two separate phases. The first phase, which is under construction, will add four new stations along the Hell Gate Line (part of the Northeast Corridor) in the Bronx and route some New Haven Line trains to Penn Station. The second phase, which is unfunded, would add two more stations along the Empire Connection/West Side Line on Manhattan's West Side; this would be served by the Hudson Line.

Project Name: Capital Line South Extension - Light Rail Transit (Pre-Bid)

Location: Ontario, Canada

Client: City of Edmonton

Project Overview: The Capital Line South Extension is a high-floor LRT system that helps serve communities in south and southwest Edmonton, two of the fastest growing areas in our city. The south extension will be completed in two phases. Phase 1 will extend the line from Century Park to just north of Ellerslie Road, and Phase 2 will extend from Ellerslie Road to Allard/Desrochers. Capital Line South Phase 1 (Century Park to just north of Ellerslie Road) is a 4.5 km long, high floor LRT and includes:

  • An underpass at 23 Avenue
  • Bridges crossing Blackmud Creek and Anthony Henday Drive
  • A new operations and maintenance facility south of Anthony Henday Drive
  • A neighbourhood LRT station at Twin Brooks (which will be smaller in size compared to a multi-modal transit station like Century Park)
  • A multi-modal LRT station connecting to the Heritage Valley Park & Ride just north of Ellerslie Road

Project Overview: The Project consists of construction of improvements to the McCroskey Island Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to replace aging equipment and to provide treatment flexibility. The Work includes, but is not limited to, replacing a grit classifier and grease auger at the Headworks, installing a new Vacuum Truck Dewatering Station, replacing two Circular Sludge Thickeners, and sludge pumps, installing new pumps, VFDs, and piping at the Davis Lane Pump Station, providing architectural and HVAC improvements to the existing Laboratory Building.

Client: The Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD)

Project Overview: The Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD) West Lake Corridor Project is a significant transit development aimed at expanding commuter rail service in the northwestern Indiana region. The project will extend the existing South Shore Line (SSL) from Hammond, Indiana, to Dyer, Indiana, improving connectivity between Chicago and the southern suburbs. The West Lake Corridor will extend approximately 8 miles south from the current South Shore Line near Hammond, connecting it to Munster and Dyer, Indiana. The project includes the construction of four new stations: Hammond Gateway, South Hammond, Munster Ridge Road, and Munster/Dyer Main Street

Project Name: US 270 Widening Project (PS&E)

Location: Dewey County, Oklahoma, USA

Client: Oklahoma DOT

Project Overview: The US-270 Widening Project in Oklahoma is a significant infrastructure improvement initiative aimed at enhancing safety and traffic flow in the region. The project primarily involves widening US-270 from a two-lane to a four-lane highway, which is crucial for supporting increased traffic volumes and improving connectivity. The corridor was split into several construction projects. 

  • The first project begins north of the town of Seiling at the US-270/US-183 junction and proceeds southerly approximately 3.5 miles through the town of Seiling. This was a turn key project to widen US-270 from 2 lanes to 4 lanes with several constraints and challenges in Seiling. The bridge over Seiling Creek was widened symmetrically to accommodate 4 lanes of traffic.
  • The second project was an additional 1.5 miles of 4 lane undivided construction to the south of Seiling. This project also included a symmetric widening of the bridge over Cheyenne Creek.
  • The last 4 miles consisted of a 4 lane divided facility with improvements to the existing lanes to accomplish needed safety improvements.

Project Overview: The U.S. Highway 259 rehabilitation project in McCurtain County, Oklahoma, near the Texas state line, is part of a significant infrastructure improvement effort by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT). The project is designed to enhance safety and traffic flow on this crucial stretch of road.
The project involves widening the existing roadway to include paved shoulders, improving curves that currently do not meet design criteria, and enhancing sight distance at county road intersections. The construction will be phased to maintain traffic flow in both directions during the work. The project covers two main segments:

  • The first segment begins approximately two miles north of the Texas state line and extends six miles northward.
  • The second segment starts about eight miles north of the state line and extends another seven miles north.

Project Name: I 16@I 95 Interchange Improvement (Design Build)

Project Overview: The I16@I95 Improvement Projects are a series of transportation infrastructure projects focused on the interchange of Interstate 16 (I-16) and Interstate 95 (I-95) in the Savannah, Georgia area. The goal of these projects is to enhance the safety, capacity, and operational efficiency of this critical interchange, which is a significant transportation hub in the southeastern United States. The project include: 

  • Replace the existing loop ramps on the west side of the interchange with flyover ramps
  • Add collector-distributor (CD) lanes on I-95 northbound to help eliminate weaving to and from I-16
  • Widen I-16 from four lanes to six lanes in each direction
  • Add lighting at the I-16/I-95 interchange
  • Install Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technology to link to Georgia NaviGAtor
  • Build a two-lane emergency-use ramp across the median between I-95 and Dean Forest Road to aide hurricane evacuations

Project Name: I 75/US 301 Interchange Improvement (Pre-Bid)

Location: Florida, USA

Client: Florida DOT

Project Overview: This Design Build project encompasses widening over 4.3 miles along I-75 from 6 to 8 lanes, providing auxiliary lanes and inside full depth shoulders between SR 64 and US 301 and converting the existing I-75 interchange at US 301 from a Partial Clover Leaf to an “Enhanced (Tight) Diamond” consistent with the approved Interchange Access Request and PD&E. The project includes 

  • Reconstructing all ramps and building 2 new parallel bridges over the Manatee River for the new NB I-75 exit ramp and new SB entrance ramp. These new ramp bridges are to include full-width stub-outs to accommodate 3 general-use lanes of the future ultimate I-75 10-lane section.
  • Reconstructing US 301 and and widening from east of 51st Avenue to west of 60th Avenue in order to provide 3 EB travel lanes and 4 WB travel lanes, turn lanes to all new access ramps and side streets, as well as, sidewalks on both sides of the roadway.

Project Name: Cotton Belt Regional Rail - Silver Line (Design Build)

Project Overview: Cotton Belt Regional Rail Corridor, renamed the Silver Line in June 2019, is an under-construction 26-mile hybrid commuter rail corridor of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) system. The corridor extends between Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport to Shiloh Road Station in Plano, traversing seven cities and three counties. Jacobs serves as the principal design consultant for this design-build project and provides design and oversight services for track alignments, bridges, pedestrian trails, drainage, retaining walls, stations and signalling.

Project Name: Stockholm Metro TUB A (Detail Design)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden

Client: Trafikverket

Project Overview: Stockholm's new metro project is a significant expansion of the city's existing metro (tunnelbana) system, aimed at improving public transportation capacity, connectivity, and accessibility in the growing Swedish capital. This project, managed by the Stockholm County Council (SLL), represents one of the largest infrastructure investments in Sweden in recent decades. The project include:

Extension of Blue Line from Akalla to Barkarby. Two new stations: Barkarbystaden and Barkarby. A new platform for the Blue Line will also be built under the existing Gullmarsplan station.

Extension of Green Line from Odenplan to Arenastaden include three new stations Arenastaden, Hagalund and Hagastaden.

Expansion of the depot in Högdalen to service, clean and repair more trains from both the Green Line and the Blue Line.

Construction of a new line line between Fridhemsplan and Älvsjö with six stations.
