Summary

I would like to start by saying that my most recent work experience has been in mental health and land title escrow. But my original passion is for Recreational Therapy in Instituionalized settings. I began volunteering in nursing home activities in third grade. By 18 I was an Activity Assistant and by 20 A licensed Activity Director through the State of Indiana for Long Term Care. I have long had a passion that, regardless of our situation and current living space, our interests and hobbies, and a focus on what makes us functional, happy, successful, and healthy, are what lead us to a future we desire to be a part of. Be it functional, educational or just plain fun. It is our structured and unstructured interests that lead us to a life worth striving for.

I also know, through personal experience, how much focus on mental and physical health can be a huge part of healing and lead to a healthier self.

I am extremely interested in this position because I believe I can create a wonderful environment in which we can work together to make a better outcome for everyone involved.
