RBI EXPERIENCE

  • PIPING CIRCUITIZATION DEVELOPMENT:
  • Developing piping circuitization by identifying the process in PFD and marking the respective process lines in PID level.
  • Verifying the material specification and grouping into similar corrosion loops.
  • Identification of outliers (Dead Legs, Injection Points, Mix Points, High Point Vent, Low Point drain) in PID for each circuit.
  • Preparation of line list for each circuit.

EQUIPMENT STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT

JOB RESPONSIBILITY IN SHUTDOWN & IN-SERVICES

  • Inspection in Process Piping and equipments as per the API codes & Standards.
  • Coordinates with the Operations, Planning and Maintenance supervisors such activities as the scheduling and planning of inspections, obtaining the requisite permits and performing any required special audit of equipment.
  • Carry out the on-stream inspection for piping at special concern and deterioration for dead legs, injection points, buried piping, corrosion under insulation (CUI) and preparation of inspection reports with all finding abnormalities.
  • Review of NDT reports and calculating remaining service life based on corrosion rate for piping.
  • Coordination with the Corrosion Engineer to resolve issues related to corrosion/erosion.
  • Review of WPS, PQR, NDT, PWHT procedures & qualification of welders.
  • Inspection and Testing of the pressure relief device as per API codes.
  • Inspection after repair for piping, pressure vessels and heat exchangers like tube, tube sheet change, plugging, seal welding of tubes.
  • Inspection of Tie-Ins for shutdown and identifying location, check for lamination by UT, thickness measurement & surface.
  • Witnessing hydro tests for piping loops, pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
  • Completing and endorsing all final inspection reports.
  • Attended various workshops in-house training related with Inspection & Quality Improvement and HSE programs.

LONG TERM OVER ALL EXPERIENCE

  • Developed & scheduled inspection plan for all static equipment and piping as per the norms and standards. Finalizing the optimized inspection test frequency of the equipment’s based on the risk limits.
  • Visual inspection for external corrosion of static equipment, piping loops and review of Ultrasonic thickness measurements for internal corrosion.
  • Execute quality assurance in engineering designs for projects and inspections on project/construction and maintenance works, in accordance with industry standards.
  • Maintain effective working relationships and communication with business teams/units, to eliminate or minimize material and corrosion issues.
  • Maintain effective Inspection Data Management system and filing system, including periodic updates.
  • Routine calibration checks of Ultrasonic thickness gauges, holiday detector, alloy analyzer, hardness tester etc.
  • Preparing shutdown inspections findings and computerization for future aspects.
  • To review drawings and specifications with a view to check design and material requirements related to weld ability.
  • Recommend welding electrodes and filler wires for new fabrication as well as repair with suitable preheat/post heat and post weld heat treatment requirements.
  • Review and approve WPS for equipment and piping jobs for new fabrication as well as for repair as per ASME sec IX and other relevant guidelines.
  • Handling all QA/QC & Inspection activities like welding, fit-up clearance, NDT Activities, Hydro test etc. of CS, SS and alloy steel piping as per applicable specifications & standards.
  • Inspection of surface preparation and painting of structures, equipment’s & piping as per plant specification, manufacturer datasheet and standards.
  • Baseline data collection of all the static equipment’s and piping their computerization
