- Finalizing the price with vendor by negotiating the price, terms of delivery, payments terms
- Visiting the supplier factory for audit, evaluation of capacity, self-assessments, ISO, ISI certification, UL and TUV approval
- Getting the samples from vendor for NPD once audit is approved and submitting to QA/ENGG for checkup.
- Collecting all the documents from supplier like inspection report, dimensional drawings, coc and ROHS for submitting the NPD sample approval.
- Approved samples will be added in the master supplier list once sample is approved by customer/Engg/QA
- Identifying alternates suppliers for the existing projects to reduce the cost, MOQ and lead time
- All the price will be fixed with quotation validity period to avoid the exchange rate and materials cost impact
- Localization of the import supplier by identifying the local supplier to reduce the materials cost, lead time and on time delivery
- Negotiating Tolling cost with supplier and Finalizing tools for NPI projects.
- Purchase Orders are released based on the MRP release date
- Reviewing MRP output in weekly basics, converting the planned order into purchase order based on the customer requirements.
- Planning materials against the weekly orders of breakers, releasing schedules and purchase orders. Maintaining the mini – max requirement level of the components for better inventory control.
- Giving Supplier Shipping information to logistics and tracking the materials from Pick-Up
- Handover the necessary documents to logistics for clearing the shipments to get the materials on time to meet the CRD
- Co-ordinate with quality/Technology /Production departments to analyze and reduce quality issues
- Publishing the supplier rating report to supplier based on cost, quality and deliveries
- Reducing the number of import shipments with consolidation of supplier with monthly basic to reduce the import freight cost CTB review with buyers for critical shortage parts
- Getting quote from different vendor for import shipment.
- End to End Follow up on (Booking, DSR, BL , CAN , Freight bills with Forwarder)
- Reviewing fright bill with respect to contract price
- Follow up with the CHA for clearance, Check list and BOE.
- Formalities of Annexure III with the commercial department.
- Closing of Annexure V with the Commercial department.
- Experience in Handling LC shipments
- Action on Excess on order and obsolete on monthly basis analysis and taking action to reduce the inventory by controlling the inward receipt
