Project "LORENZO":

  • LORENZO is next generation Healthcare Application, addressing fully, Administrative and Clinical Information Management requirements of healthcare providers, from GPs to hospitals.
  • Flexible solution which can be tailored to local needs through rich configuration tools, promoting governance, quality, efficiency and consent in healthcare.


Client: National Programme for IT(NPfIT), by the Department of Health Agency 'NHS Connecting for Health' (NHS CfH), to improve patient care & services in England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland.


Team: Part of the Design Management Group (DMG) which served as the bridge between SO-UK (Solution Office-UK) and NHS on one hand & LDO (Lorenzo Development Organization) Development and Testing teams on the other.


SO-UK interacts directly with NHS for requirements elicitation for new functionalities as well as for those applications under maintenance. These requirements are then picked up by DMG who convert them into functional specifications.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

  • As a Business Analyst collaborated with the team of around 150 - 200 in the SO-UK & DBT (Design, Build, Test) teams of Lorenzo, across multiple Releases and DUs to deliver Lorenzo application according to specifications for functionality, usability, scalability and performance.
  • Authored around 200 conceptual designs from business objectives, out of which more than 25 were complex to very complex changes, few were POC designs with latest technologies like Silverlight grids, Telerik grids & Kendo UIs.
  • Shift Left Approach: Expertise in troubleshooting functional issues in DIT environment and ensured no defects are leaked to the UAT module.
  • Client Demo/Presentation: Provided support to meet customer expectations - Product demo, Early Adopter testing, Business Process testing, Boot camps etc.
  • Adopted Agile/Scrum methodologies and acted as Scrum Master for handling daily standup/Huddles.
  • Timely update in ALM tools like IBM Rational Change Synergy, Microsoft's Team Foundation Server (TFS) & JIRA, over different timelines of the project.
  • Worked with DMS (Document Management System) tools like Microsoft SharePoint Services & Jira Confluence.
  • Used Business Analyst software like Enterprise Architect, Microsoft Visio, MS Office etc.
  • Prepared Daily reports, Weekly reports and Monthly reports about issues, review comments and designs to be delivered by our Team.
