Rail Operations: -

Compliance to Sales & Operations Planning

· To ensure timely Placement of indents, prioritization of indents.

· Providing the visibility of rakes in cluster through FOIS & destinations where restriction is imposed by railway.

· Ensuring proper loading, covering and sealing of covered & open boxes to avoid shortages and transit damage.

· Providing the visibility & planning to packing plant w.r.t rake arrival, product mix, type of bag etc.

· Ensuring for a joint random checking to count no. of bags loaded with Mfg team at loading point, selectively at unloading point.

· Responsible for reverse logistics for tarpaulin used.

· Responsible for timely dispatch & delivery of RR at the receiving destinations.

Cost Management

· Validation of the freight payment to be released through Electronic Payment System to railway & periodic reconciliation.

· Updating of statistics w.r.t benchmark for participating various incentive scheme.

Railway Liasoning.

· Coordinating with local railway officials at siding, service stations to get the visibility with type of wagons, expected time of arrival of rakes, releasing time of rake, supply of power / engine, movement of empty & loaded rakes etc.

· Close monitoring of rake placement and release timings to minimize the levy of demurrage charges.

Performance Indices

· Preparing MIS for Rail: Freight payment, calculation for participating various incentive scheme, Demurrages / wharf-age etc. Report.

· Monitoring of Rail loading performance w.r.t previous trend and railway benchmark.

Road operations:

Compliance to Sales & Operations Planning

· Ensuring timely deployment of the fleet for the assigned sector / segment in line with the orders.

· Monitors COF order, schedule the pending orders in line with plant production capacity.

· Providing trigger w.r.t change in grade / product for loading from various packers w.r.t customer's prioritization.

· Responsible for providing order visibility to vendor, to follow up for execution of order, scheduling and coordinating with packing plant foe loading of fleets deployed.

· Responsible for additional fleet deployment within a short notice period depending upon the customer requirement, rake availability & forecast for capacity utilization.

· Responsible to find out the scope for improvement of truck turnaround time inside the plant.

· Responsible for order allocation to the vendor.

Cost Management

Vendor Management

· Creating a database of those trucks which are deployed long back and presently out from the circuit and working jointly with vendor to attract maximum truck for further deployment.

· Educating the vendor to get maximum benefit by tracking the fleet movement, trip time, no. of trips sector wise.

· Follow up with TSM / Accounts dept w.r.t timely getting acknowledgement and vendor payment.

Safety

· Ensure safety compliance for all vehicles and drivers loaded from Plant

· Conduct regular defensive driving trainings for drivers

· Create Awareness on Road Safety for both inbound/outbound vendors and drivers

• Handling Road Operations and Rail Operations at Plant
• Orders Planning and scheduling dispatch to meet the daily Dispatch target
• Coordinating with Local railway authorities regarding rake placement and placing Indent for destinations in FOIS
• Follow up with State and local team member daily review performance of vendor & proper & timely distribution to dealers
• Ensure the material availability of every depot as per their allocation against their forecasting
• Coordinate with Sales team timely dispatch to the respective depots and direct orders execution to avoid sale loss
• Ensured First in First out (FIFO), Truck- Turn- around-Time (TAT), Shift wise truck spread, Trade- Non-trade, Rail-Road, Bag/Bulk- for minimizing service time and to avoid material losses
• Generated MIS reports (in SAP & Oracle-based ERP applications) for review and decision-making by the management
• Formulating of Standard Operating Procedures, Contracts, Practices as per Industrial Standards
• Monitoring & ensuring customer service levels
• Daily follow-up with transporters to place the trucks for pending orders from the Dealers.

• Responsible for overall operation of pitstop
• Handle RTO (Regional Transport Office) documentations regarding trucks and transport
• Handle driver planning and availability at the pitstop for incoming vehicle
• Manage driver changeover at the pitstop within time limit
• Carry out toll cash management
• Manage document inspection
• Coordinate with documentation team for border related documents
• Ensure pitstop to pitstop transit time of the vehicles are within the designated limits and no unscheduled stoppage takes place
• Coordinate with Operations and Planning Control team for the placement of vehicle at client locations
• Maintenance of the pitstop infrastructure and assets
• Giving Training to drivers.

• Handling complete Road Operations on shift basis with Accuracy
• Priority Loading, Packer and Grade Planning, follow-ups, Coordination with Packing Plant & Security
• Pending Order distribution among transporters and follow ups regarding unloading issues
• Preparation of Central Excise Invoice of Trucks and wagons loaded with cement and clinker
• Communicating & coordinating with packing plant, Production department, Transporters & marketing people
• Responsible For entire operation like Order processing & Fulfillment in Shift
